We would all have done the same

but he doesn’t cover more ground than anyone over 90 mins.

Have you got the stats to go with this? Because that would surprise me seeing as he covered more ground than any other United player when in the premier league and was in the top 10 players in the whole premier league for ground covered. He would have to have taken a drastic reduction in ground covered in the championship to not still be one of the top 3 players at least for United.

We would have won ? We only drew after he subbed those players who are ' unfit and need resting ' had they played from the start we would have won

There’s absolutely no way of showing this to be true. Davies and Anel would’ve been in everyone’s starting 11. If it wasn’t for their individual errors we’d have still been 0-0 when those players were brought on. Unless that’s what you mean?

Is your “unfit and need resting” commenting sarcasm? If it is, what’s your info that says differently?

Was that reason to give Norwich a chance for 60 mins?

I’m not sure I understand this question. Even if we’d played all our of better players Norwich would’ve still had a chance.

It might be that Doyle, Ndiaye, Robinson etc weren’t in the starting eleven because of injury or fitness reasons. I imagine if Ndiaye had started today and pulled a hamstring there would be several threads on here about how Hecky wasn’t managing things correctly.

As it was, if Davies and Anel hadn’t gifted them two goals we would’ve gone on to win the game (in my opinion) even without the ‘correct’ starting eleven.

He has to rest players pal, they cant all play every game, he's doing a great job imo, we would have won but fir a couple of individual errors, give him a break ffs, we could have a lot worse managers in charge
He’s done a good job from last year no doubt. He’s unlucky with daft errors of course but that starting line up was ridiculous. He can’t say only 7 days ago MCB needs a hernia operation then played him for 98 mins on Weds. Brewster scored at Stoke. Dropped the week after. MCAtee scores. Droppped. He gets MCB looking like a striker but keeps dropping him. For me and only my opinion our top 3 are Brewster,MCB and Indaye in behind. If fit they start every week. I don’t buy this tired nonsense. Egan plays every week as does Baldock etc. Billy has been amazing for us but he’s not the man now and is an impact player. A good manager with this squad gets us promoted. Norwich were rubbish. If he does it then I will give him the credit he deserves. Last few weeks leave me thinking that he has no chance of that.

Play your strongest team, after the form we’re in at the moment and against a piss poor Norwich side I don’t get why we went with the 11 that we did.

If Ndiaye was likely to get an injury then that’s great premonition from the medical team who have so far managed to allow us play a fair few players against medical advice this season, so either they’ve decided to get a clue or Hecky made a poor selection. I’d go with the latter.

I understand the play your strongest team thing. With the current available players there’s a balance to be made though. Playing Ndiaye wouldn’t have made much difference to the score line if Davies and Anel had still decided to give them two goals.

No? I’d expect he runs the same amount of distance as anyone, probably most on the pitch tbf, but is very slow so it may seem he isn’t using much energy as someone who runs faster but he will be using as much energy as anyone but their top speeds will be different that’s all.
Norwood doesn't cover even close to the distance that most of the midfield runs, especially not in sprints. Why do you think we swap out the front 2 at 60 mins almost every game like clockwork, even top athletes can't perform at their best for that long and pushing them too hard risks injuries that we just can't afford right now. I can't see how the selection can be blamed for todays result, we conceded 2 goals, one from a horror show from our 2nd choice keeper (enforced change) and 1 from very poor defending from anel (probably our best defender)

Absolute nonsense.

In the premier league Norwood covered the most distance of any of our players, he was even in the top 10 of all premier league players for distance covered. I’ve not seen his latest stats but he would have to have had a dramatic drop off in the championship to still not be the number 1 for distance covered or at the very least right up there with any of our players. As for sprints I would say he sprints as much as any of our midfielders or is not too far off them at least, the difference is he is slow as fuck so it may seem he’s not sprinting but for him and his body he is still sprinting.

He's gone from positive in the first 10 games to negative , with some inconsistent decisions & explanations.
The team's form has followed exactly his loss of reasoning in picking starting lineups & use of subs.
Are McCall & Lester actually helping him ... because he needs some help just now - there are some very obvious mistakes which most fans can see.
Very frustrating.
Most fans could see that first half coming after hearing the teamsheet.
And most fans would have started the players he brought on who changed the second half in our favour.
I hope McCall & Lester are not just Yes-men.

You do understand that players aren't just data in a game, right? You card just keep playing them over and over and over again when they're tired?
Frank lampard hardly ever missed a match and wasn't happy one season when he played in every game except the last one I think he was rested for a cup final perhaps.
And he wasn't a bad player.
Shit manager though
