Never once been confident of promotion with Hecky since he became manager. But honestly he’s doing better than I hoped this season so far. The squad has been absolutely depleted due to injuries so he should be cut a lot of slack, especially considering our form prior to the last 4 games. A poor run of 4 games isn’t really enough to consider getting rid. The teams we’ve played in those 4 however it really should be considered a very poor points haul. Needs more time for sure.

McB has had a hernia issue for over a month hence why he takes him off each week at 60 mins. No new news there I’m afraid. Baldock has been on injections all week for his groin. He risked him today and that is an absolute fact. Gordon was poor last week and he wanted to go back to a 5. I don’t blame him for that as we were awful last week but he needs to be honest and act quicker that’s all.

Thinking this myself

You look at the team he could put out at the beginning of the season, and without dismissing him, any half decent manager should be sitting pretty

A good manager can win when it’s going well, but a great manager can win when you play shit or your in a corner due to injuries etc

Not suggesting we should win every game, but it would have cemented his credibility had he managed to get a win or 2 along side draws rather than 2 points from 12.
Remember we’re not coming up against prem teams here, it’s stoke brum qpr and Blackpool ffs.

Kinda thinking about parallels with Gerrard, pissed it with a good team at rangers, but tactically found out when he’s got an average side

He's now taken us to more than a win out of the automatics behind two nothing teams if we're honest.

Let's not hide from the fact his appalling team selection got us in a mess the players who should have started managed to salvage.

Yes but we are not talking about when he got the job so don’t move the goal posts, you said he isn’t getting sacked anytime soon, so I replied in response to that. He may well have been the right man for the job when he got it but views change very quickly in football so if you think he wouldn’t get sacked if we slid down the table then you would be wrong.
