Hecky out

Not Hecky out but I don’t believe he’s the man to take us up. Team selection is baffling. Hard to watch but Basham and Sharp are finished. We were just lumping it down the lines first half. Couldn’t believe we were two up, never looked comfortable.

It seems that Hecky has idea to lead us to success, but I'm not sure how many players are good enough for PL or even Championship next season.

Long way to go. I cant see him leaving, any time sooner.

When Rhian Brewster went past Kyle Naughton at Swansea it wasn't a foul. But I was amazed a foul wasn't given because we never get them kind of decisions.

I knew we'd pay for that bit of luck, even though it wasn't even lucky

It was a foul every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Never touched him

It has been universally decided that Kyle Naughton stepped across Brewster to try to block him off instead of just kicking the ball into row Z

Brewster changed direction and went past him, no foul at all
And you know it too, but just want to argue the toss because it's me that posted it

Some of our fans are cretins.

We were 2:0 until our defence gave them 3 goals. Experienced defenders. RND, Egan, Basham. How is that the fault of the manager or the team selection?
Because he picked them

Apologies, I read your initial comment incorrectly. I thought you were saying Naughton didn’t try to foul Brewster, which he did, so obviously my comment makes no sense.

It's already been a frustrating afternoon and you can always guarantee that some absolutely human paraquat will come on here and say sack the manager. Get a flipping grip.

We are currently 2nd in the league.

Starting Sharp may have been an error, but who else can we play on the left aside from Osborn with all our injuries?
Playing Sharp and dropping Brewster who scored last week is poor. MCB against a physical Blackpool should also have been straight back in. Then he watches and does nothing at half time. Poor again today by Hecky. Our squad when fit is not hard to get right. He earns his money now for me and the last few weeks he has got it wrong. No panic yet but he needs to sort it.

McBurnie was carrying a knock apparently. Brewster might have been similar. It’s easy for us fans to comment when we don’t have all of the information that Hecky does.

Agreed but start them and take them off. No more points on offer today than next week. No panic yet but he worries me as a manager.

Starting them doesn’t make sense, even without the full facts. Hecky has had plenty of stick this week for starting Bogle against QPR. We can’t have it both ways.

They did not have surgery and I would suggest looked pretty sharp when they came in ? His management of Bogle was also dreadful to your own point.

The additional injury to Bogle wasn’t anything to do with Hecky, it was an issue with the surgery he had. The looked sharp for 25 minutes today. You don’t start players who might only be fit enough for such a small amount of the game. The point still stands though, Hecky has the full facts and we don’t.

I agree on sharp although he got a good assist.

Agreed. Hecky also knew Bogle had been out since January but left him in the pitch far too long. Why risk it to your earlier point when he had only played a few minutes against Birmingham. He’s up against it with injuries but he needs to do better for me with his subs and his tactics. Hopefully he gets us sorted for Coventry and Norwich. We will be mid table if he doesn’t.

Selecting Bash, Sharp and Oz is going to end up with us low to mid table as that is their absolute top limit now. Hecky needs to realise this and fast. Some times I feel like he is playing games with the fans with his team selections. Its not worth dropping points Paul just for the sake of getting one over on fans.

Well…exactly. Took a bit of a roundabout way of coming at it but I’m glad you agree.

*I assume you’re not suggesting Hecky knew about Bogle’s surgery issues, seeing as the surgeon clearly didn’t know.

I’ll use Osborn as the example. Who would you have played instead today?

No Hecky just knew he had not played much football and risked him for way too long. Nobody knows if the plate would have slipped if he took him off earlier or not. Personally I think it was poor management and clearly you don’t. That’s fine with me.

JLT or Bash to LCB and RND to left back.
Oz at best is mid table championship steadiness. He was miles off even being that today. I can't remember his last good match or positive match changing contribution.

Again though, you’re proving my point. You’re having a dig at Hecky for playing a player who has just come back from injury and then also having a dig at him for not playing others in the same position. You can’t have it both ways. Bogle wasn’t in anyway his fault, regardless of how much you want it to be, but maybe he learned something from that? It seems you didn’t.

We’ve no idea about Robinson’s fitness. Moving Basham would’ve left a void at RCB. Hecky clearly thought it was a risk to start Anel. See my previous comments on playing players who are returning from injury. I’ll repeat, as fans we don’t have all of the information

Explain to me how Brewster was injured ? I get the feeling if I told you it was Saturday you would find a way to make it Sunday. We simply saw lots of stuff today and other days very differently.

I didn’t say he was. I said he might have been. You seemingly didn’t know that McBurnie was carrying a knock. The point I was making is that Hecky has more info than you do and makes his decisions accordingly. Unless you’re suggesting others wise then surely you agree?
