Lowe is out for 12 weeks, which takes us to December, RND stepping up last night was a bonus. Now need Clarke back, which should be October some time, a busy schedule means we might have to stick with Anel and Basham for a while

Really rated bash playing LCB he was always happy to take on a player then pass it, was really comfortable on the ball

If we don't get Clark and Osborn back soon, then we really are walking on thin ice on that left side. I have never known anything like the injuries to left footed players at this club.

Hecky MUST be backed by the Board now - given the impressive start to the season he has overseen - and this NEEDS them allowing him to bring in a left-sided defender to ensure that we have a chance of maintaining this brilliant momentum. No ifs or buts.

Between transfer windows where do you suggest we get one capable of slotting straight into the team from ?

Between transfer windows where do you suggest we get one capable of slotting straight into the team from? I'll tell you Bertie. There's an article in The Star this week suggesting around ten such possibilities - players who are currently out of contract and can play on the left-side of defence. A couple look promising. There are these and possibly others.

No new injury problems.

Bogle's back in full training.

Upto 5 weeks before any other players fit. Wtf!

I'm surprised Bogle is back in full training - that seems to be be ahead of schedule.

Fingers crossed we can get through tomorrow unscathed. The international break reduces that five weeks to three, which doesn't seem as bad but still isn't great. Let's hope some others can do a Bogle and come back a little earlier (nobody rushed back, of course).

TBF, with the up coming international break and the world cup it's effectively 6 weeks out which is a result

In Ciaran Clark we've actually found someone more of some sicknote than Ben 'Covid, injured, personal reasons' Davies
2 so called fucking professionals
Absolute joke

What's your logic on questioning their professionalism? You want them to play at an incredibly high level while injured?

There's also no place for bringing Davies' reported personal circumstances into this at all.

Hugely unfair on Ben Davies, given what he was dealing with last season.

Talking of Davies
Anyone any ideas of what has happened to our no 1, he never gets a mention re recovering from injury he was hopeful of getting on the plane to the World Cup

Revised guesses.

O'Connell - No return (3 years / indefinite) - knee ligaments

Sharp - October 2022 (3 months) - ankle ligaments

Coulibaly - February 2023 (6 months) - knee surgery

Fleck - January 2023 (4 months) - broken leg

Bogle - December 2022 (9 months) - knee ligaments

J Robinson - December 2022 (4 months) - knee ligaments

A Davies - December 2022 (4 months) - knee ligaments

Osborn - December 2022 (4 months) - hamstring / ankle injury

Lowe - January 2023 (4 months) - hamstring

C Clark - October 2022 (3 months) - hamstring

Ahmedhodzic - didn't train.

Baldock - didn't train.

McCall seemed to be a little more open on injury timelines in his pre-match interview.
So here's another revised guess...

So, good news on Sharp coming back earlier than expected and sounds like Bogle is much closer than first thought.
Really hope we don't rush him back though as these recovery setbacks do seem to happen with us...

talking of which, bad news on Ciaran Clark who is still at least 4/5 weeks away (I wonder if there's an option to terminate his loan and if it's something we'd consider?) and no more news on the other left hand side reinforcements we crave, other than to say it sounds like they're all also at least 5 weeks away.

Your maths all over the place. According to McCall it sounded like Clark, Ozzy and Stevens are possibly back late October. So not sure where you are getting December from for some of these players as that's 10 fucking weeks away. Unless you forgot November is also a month on the on calendar.

I know I take the piss about the injury situation but you almost had most our squad back next season with your predications the other week.

World Cup break gets rid of 1 month.
If it's touch and go for a player beforehand, I can see us not taking the risk.
Hence the slightly extended timeline for a few.

None of the 6 leftsided players is back till December.
Yes I would terminate Clark loan if possible to get a fit LCB in January.
But in the meantime I would be scouring the world for a free agent leftsided defender.
Unless Hecky is confident in the 2 leftsided U21 lads , one of whom was sub again today.

It's great that we've got to the international break so cleanly, without dropping any points, and without picking up more injuries

It gives the injured players some useful time

But ffs they need to hurry up

Might be a little unfair to expect it of bogle after a long lay off but seem to remember that he has played on the left side before for us - might at least be a body there and allow rnd to drop back to lcb

Literally McCall's words on Friday regarding some of the injured players: "Most of them are down to be 4 to 5 weeks away" "So when we come back (after the break) they will be 2 or 3 weeks away."
