maybe we will end up in the 4th we did last time we had a kit like that.

horrible thing.time to piss macron off and go for a decent brand like umbro, adidas or puma even.
our merchandise has been crap for years.o_O

Not too sure on this kit... I don't know why but I can't help feel that it looks like a cheap knockoff, like those fake Man U or Arsenal kits that you see in seaside resorts made by Noke or Imbro.

On the whole though I've liked our Macron kits and the fact that the designs were (fairly) unique to us. I've always disliked the way Nike, Adidas, Puma etc have always come up with a design template first and then found a way to shoehorn a clubs colours into it.

Staying out of the age old yearly manufacturer debate as no-one ever listens to the myriad of reasons we don't choose Nike or Adidas...

However...
or puma even.

There is a particular reason I refuse to wear anything Puma, particularly boots. Do they not remind you of anyone close-by you can't abide?

It's simple. With Adidas and Nike, you pay them and for the privilege they own your soul. Probably the same with Umbro now as they are owned by the diseased tick!

Now I've seen it on TV, I think it looks alright, I'll still be waiting till the end of the season to get it though when it comes down to £10-£20. Little unsure about the badge being in the middle though, and the shorts are absolutely horrendous.

As for Puma, I really like them so I'd have them, regardless of whether Wednesday have them or not. I've always been like I'm sure most Blades are where I've never bought anything made by their kit manufacturer or given money to their sponsor. Puma is the only exception to the rule.

It's worth pointing out (when you're a pedantic git like me) that by the time we went down to the Fourth. Division we were wearing the 'Cantors' shirt - now that really WAS awful. I rather like this new effort myself; maybe Peter Anderson will get second in Goal of the Season wearing it?

So, to complete the 1977-79 thing, will the away kit be yellow with four black 'v's across the chest? I put my dad through hell trying to get hold of that shirt when I was 11 - we eventually tracked it down in House of Barrington.

I might grow to like but the shorts are well shit.

I can't understand why the club want to efectively relaunch a kit in which we suffered relegation from the 2nd tier for the first time.

If they want to all retro, how about kits from eras that give us all a warm glow - the early to mid seventies? The Bassett era c. 1989-93?

The 93 kit...definately

But with Black Shorts.

We get relegated with White Shorts... (02-03 notwithstanding)

I was saying this yesterday, when teams release "nostalgia" kits they usually pick a kit from a success.

Rangers - Cup Winners Cup kit

Celtic - Lisbon Lions kit

Leeds - League Championship kit

Arsenal - Redcurrant first season kit at Highbury

Southampton - First ever kit

Man City - 1969/70 FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup Winners Cup kit

Sheffield United - Relegation to the old 3rd division

I think this image sums it up quite nicely...

Only thing that gave me a warm glow in early seventies was being left too close to the fireplace in my baby walker! Sabella kit was my first Blades kit so that's why I have some bond with it; my first kit was Scotland international which was weird as I'm English with a bit of Welsh!

Like the picture they produced of memorable players and program covers. Not one of which we won.

Love the shirt. The shorts, however, look like something you used to drag out of that box in the PE office when you had forgot your kit.
