We could be sat here this time next week just a point ahead. I for one will not be getting remotely excited until we are over next week with at least a 3 point cushion. Come on Blades see this one through, but NOTHING has been achieved yet, we need to be very, very careful

I could step out of my front door and get hit by a truck but I'm not going to sit here and worry about it. As it is, we could be promoted this time next week - I for one am looking forward to a day out at Franchise FC and another Blades win.

None of us will be celebrating until the final kick confirms our final position.
Very pleased to go into the MK Dons game with a 4 point advantage over the unclean.
It will not be easy there but we have been saying that all season.
It is down to us now and we need to be joining Charlton in the championship next season who had been promoted today.
Well done lads.

Exactly it could all change again next week.

If we win at the MK plastic then we really do deserve promotion.

We just need to hold steady. I can see MK Franchise being very tough.....

I think that this time next week we will know much better...obviously :)

Just checked 'pigtalk' most grunters think it's all over..IT IS NOW.,but to be fair they are grudgingly accepting of our campaign especially in the last few weeks, when the pressure as been on .

to be fair they thought it was over before the derby, then they were world beaters, now its over again. knobs

Agreed. We're in great form, but have just played 2 sides in the bottom 5, today who were playing with 10 men for much of the game. We can't take our foot off the gas, let's for once make it as easy as possible for ourselves and just keep on winning!

Fair play to Wednesday I really thought at this point it was going to be between us and Udders. Especially based on how Wednesday faired under Megson. The manager merry go round has paid off for Wednesday more so than Udders surprisingly.

Still not lost Jones but Carlisle put up a fight against Charlton today plus have just slipped out the play off places so need a win or 2. I think if Wednesday are going to lose it might be next week.

A win and a draw from the last three games does it barring a 13 goal turnaround on the goal difference. Everyone wants that to happen as soon as possible but it may well still go to the final game. The manager and team have kept their focus brilliantly over the last few games when the pressure has been on, have belief that they will continue to do this and support the team. That's all any of can do.

What a helpful piece of advice , allow me to return the favour . Remember to wear clothes when you leave the house this will stop you from being over exposed to the weather conditions and possible arrest for over exposure to the general public

What that result today does, coupled with Colchester's draw, means United now have the breathing space to go to MK and go for it. With 6000 Blades behind them, United can just give it a right good go safe in the knowledge that a win could mean we are virtually up. If we lose or draw, we're back to where we were before today's matches but with two games only. A relaxed United without the pressure of Wednesday being able to overtake us next week, coupled with MK Dons now secure in the Play Offs and not wanting to risk injuries, could lead to a mighty, mighty three points.

One thing is certain - huge pressure on Wednesday now to get three wins from three. United could win one of the final three and be promoted.

If we don't go up next week then I hope its not decided by results before we play Stevenage. I want us to seal it ourselves, live on TV!

A win and 2 draws would do it, unless pigs have 3 big wins to cut the goal difference.

I just wrote a load here and deleted it as I am not thinking about it or saying it because if I do something will go wrong, I'm staying quiet this season. :)

Not mathematically, as we'll be six points clear with six to play for. However our goal difference would have to take a hell of a hit.

Well yes, but you get what I mean. I very much doubt that they would be able to then gain around 13 goals in 2 games.
