I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone pronounce Snake as Snek. Which is odd in a way because most Sheffielders would say ‘shek” for shake. Maybe because a sneck is an old word for a door latch, hence the term ‘sneck lifter’ for someone who’s banging at the pub door at opening time. I think. (Covid has fucked my brain or I’m in the first stages of early onset).

Yeah, be-uk is probably closer. I’ve never heard sneck for nose as far as I can remember. Neb, obviously, my mate would occasionally, for no particular reason, call me Prickneb. (Not just me in fairness, it was one of his favourite insults).

McAtee's showings so far are unbelievably poor. I'd terminate loan in Jan and use the available loan space on someone else.

Balls are being passed to his feet and he's miscontrolling the ball or letting it go past him.

Maybe it's nerves but if you can't control a ball that's being played to your feet then you're just not good enough.

He might go on and do some amazing things with City in the future but maybe he just needs those world class players around him for him to excel.

Seems an odd one to pick out. He's a kid, he needs a run of games. He hasn't had it yet.
It looks like Berge is now going to be crocked for the foreseeable so McAtee may well get his chance. Let's see what he's about after half a dozen 60+ mins appearances.
