Please can people stop acting like they have any clue what our new signings are like that come from an Academy? IE James McAtee. Be honest, before the rumours - we had never heard of him, we had never seen him play before. All of a sudden a few Youtube clips and people are saying "huge deal, let's get it over the line"

Stop acting like you know what type of player he is or how good he is. It's embarrassing

Still one of my proudest achievements is putting him through the advertising boards at Staveley MWFC in a pre-season friendly and injuring him.

Best thing was I didn't even know it was him until after the game when someone told me he was 'ex- Man Utd'

I've heard of him, he's played two Premier League games, which is two more than some of our squad

And he's played one Champions League game, which doesn't say much really if it was against the Albanian Champions.

The only thing we have to go on is the Man City fans reactions, and most of them don't know that much about him.

However, of those that do, many of them are upset that they are loaning him out

The question is just whether United can use a player with silky skills or not.

MGW had some silky skills, but he also had a bit of devil about him, if it wasn't happening he'd go and find the ball and make it happen

Not sure if McAtee does this or not, or whether he relies on others to do his donkey work for him.

If he relies on others to do the donkey work for him, we'll have a problem getting the best out of him, despite having many donkeys in the side

You don't have to be an expert on City's academy to see what a coup this could be.

We're in a position where we need to utilise loans and we clearly need someone to replace MGW.

McAtee is extremely highly rated by those that matter at City and was also wanted by PL clubs.

Whilst none of us have a crystal ball, he's undoubtedly one of the best young PL loans we could possibly have got.

Why anyone would want to find some negativity from this deal at this stage, god only knows.

I think the people who state that others need more ball knowledge could probably do with either popping their cherry or getting a few more friends, that goes for all variations and ways of asking others to get more ball knowledge.
