Oh.. That old chestnut!
Correct.
And why you think that this demographic deserves the red carpet treatment ahead of those who actually put the time in is beyond me.
Unless your reasons for staying away are due to personal circumstances, you have no right to breeze in and out every few years when the going is good and start making demands.
I wonder if we could use the John Street corner for creating a better disabled zone? It'd obviously require some reconfiguring for access, but I don't think it'd be particularly missed if we just made it available for disabled fans, plus maybe add in some more corporate/press facilities at the rear of the stand. One thing I did see is the complaints that the wheelchair accessible spaces were all at pitch level. It's difficult as we don't have any level egress into the bowl of the stadium but it's clearly something those used to attending games elsewhere expected from a "big" ground.
They have every right as customers or potential customers to do whatever they want
We have 18,000 - 20,000 League One fans
We have 30,000 Premier League fans because we are limited to that many
Who knows how many more would go if there was enough room, good facilities and a good team to support.
The problem is a 45,000 stadium could be sold if we had some success over a few years, like Leicester for example
But if our success was a one off flash in the pan like last time we got promoted we would be left with a white elephant.
This is the reason why stadium expansion won't ever be done.
The team has to have reasonable success first, and that will be in front of 30,000 with 2,000 shit seats empty.
So the argument will always be "Can't even fill this stadium, what's the point building a bigger one"
The reason for those seats being empty will always be overlooked
Allways thought the disabled section should be higher ,think they are put in a vulnerable position so close to the action .There is no reason a disabled area should be on the touchline it could easily be located higher up the stand without any real wheelchair access problems, maybe stop treating them like 2nd class citizens.
Did you not get yourSupporters aren't customers for a start.
But it's encouraging to know that there's tens of thousands of new fans, just waiting in the wings for the construction of a few luxury shithouses.
They definitely deserve to be treated better than those of us who have followed Sheffield United across 3/4 divisions week in/week out for years.
Impeccable logic...
Did you not get yourin the post?
You should have had one pal I sent mine back I knew there would be someone more needing of one like yourselfNo, they used all the gold to plate the taps in the kop toilets so that your lot wouldn't throw a hissy fit.
"Not good enough to play match at stadium as small as Bramall Lane, which should not have been chosen for fixture of this magnitude"
"Not criticism of Sheffield united, but a costly mistake by F.A. Old Trafford would have been better"
"A let down to play match in Sheffield, to choose a stadium that holds just 32,000 is ludicrous"
"Not enough room for all media at match (including me?)"
Strangely I was just looking at my account on line and it asks me for my customer number.Supporters aren't customers for a start.
We sold out all home tickets well in advance of that game, so yes.
What you have to consider is that we rarely sell all the tickets as there's plenty of restricted view seats, that people simply refuse to sit in.
Remove those restricted view seats, increase capacity, and average attendance will increase.
Supporters aren't customers for a start.

Other clubs are more successful than us, not just on the pitch, but in the way the club is marketed and presented
Perhaps you'd feel more like you were at a football match with true Blades if one of them stood next to you and pissed down your leg
After all, that's all a part of football in the 21st century innit, and should never be changed, change is not good.
But doesn't being higher create more problems if anyone has to get out quickly?Allways thought the disabled section should be higher ,think they are put in a vulnerable position so close to the action .
As said elsewhere though we need to make it easier for every now and again fans to buy tickets, who then might go on to become regular fans.I think we can average 35k or so in the PL easily actually.
We averaged just over 30k last time and the time before in PL. Giving usually the away team 2,800 tickets, meaning on average we had 27,200 home fans in.
If we expanded the kop by say 3,500 seats etc. We could give away teams both tiers and in the PL this is likely to be sold more often than not. I'm not suggesting the full 7,000 inc corner.
Just BL Upper and Lower so that is 5,500 seats. Instantly that's another 2,700 on average on a gate without any extra home fans.
(We are not far off 33k at this point.)
I would say that if we improved and expanded our ground a capacity of 35-36k for when we are a PL team is about right. The proposed 44k capacity under McCabe to host WC games though seems way too big.

Personal experience, recently tried to get an adult and two kids tickets for family friends for the Millwall match. Was told they all had to register online first, including the kids. Why me buying them as a season ticket holder doesn’t guarantee there’ll be no trouble as it would come back om me I don’t know.
Anyway, end result…they’re not bothering.
It'll never fail to amaze me as to why taking two minutes to register an account for someone is such a hardship
Why didn’t you just register them? It wouldn’t take much longer than it did to write that post.As said elsewhere though we need to make it easier for every now and again fans to buy tickets, who then might go on to become regular fans.

It never is two minutes and if you’re not a fan it’s an hassle. Far easier to ask someone (me) who’s a season ticket to pick up some tickets for them. But like it or not some people just won’t be bothered with the hassle of registering oline for adults and kids. Human nature. It'll never fail to amaze me as to why taking two minutes to register an account for someone is such a hardship

Use online for most things and our ticket website is one of the most user unfriendly I have come across. Floating fans aren't going to be arsed with complexity just make it easy for them to buy a bloody ticket and the club gets more money. Really not hard.
Needs to be a doddle and we need to be throwing up offers as people buy tickets to buy for future matches.
Well it’s not that easy to get their details. It was for members of my nephew’s wife’s family so I don’t even know them. But I’d have happily got the tickets for them. Why didn’t you just register them? It wouldn’t take much longer than it did to write that post.
