Oh noShould put us in great shape for Eurovision
Yep, I'm loving seeing/hearing about Bramall Lane on the TV & radio. It's brilliant that it got picked for one of the semi finals, fortunate we got England of course.......Is it wrong I’m excited?
Would be great for the city if we got it. But if it’s not London it’ll end up being Manchester; possibly to the fanfare of the new arena opening there.
We are all Swedish fans. How does this translate? we were sat with the Swedish fans in the group games, and sang along with this.
Think what you like about the women’s game but our club is getting a lot of positivity out of this. Fair play to the ownership for putting us forward for hosting this.
We struggle for hotel rooms. People end up in all manner of places when something medium sized is on.They were talking about Eurovision on the radio yesterday.
Saying prospective host cities must be near an airport, have an inside venue with a 10K plus capacity and have a large number of hotel rooms.
They said Glasgow and Aberdeen have already announced interest and said the other good contenders would be Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham but they said Birmigham held it the last time it was in the UK, so that would probably count against them.
One of the radio presenters said the O2 arena in London would be a fantastic venue, so why no mention of London?
The guest said she doubts London would be given it because the BBC want to take it to the smaller cities.
She said giving another large event to London wouldn't go down well politically.
No surprises that no one on the show mentioned Sheffield as a possible venue.
Besides are we close enough to an airport?
Thanks, didn't think to put it through google translate. We are all Swedish fans.
Not a single hotel room left in Sheffield tonight apparently. We struggle for hotel rooms. People end up in all manner of places when something medium sized is on.
Probably not considered close enough to an airport, Doncaster probably wouldn't count due to low number of flights/destinations and the fact it'll probably be shut down anyway. They were talking about Eurovision on the radio yesterday.

They used to talk about Wembley as being an old historical stadium

Better leg room too!View from the studio on the kop looks great tbf
Does part of the blame lie with SCC? There was surely an opportunity to sell this properly historically that they missed out on.It always surprises me how biased the national media are.
They used to talk about Wembley as being an old historical stadium
and they love telling all and sundry how England is the birth place of football.
However for some reason they skip over the fact that Bramall Lane is the most historical football stadium in England, with so many football firsts.
Also the national media rarely ever (in fact never) mention that it's Sheffield that is the birth place of football.
All looks open to me (although not noticed if the Kop corner is). Seems like it's filling up nicely. There’s nowhere in ground shut off is there? Not that I can see at least, should be a quality attendance, atmosphere is better than any of our games last season too, get clappers out blades![]()
Looks like all areas are open including kop cornerAll looks open to me (although not noticed if the Kop corner is). Seems like it's filling up nicely.
