Seems to have gone AWOL the last few weeks.

Anyone know? As it seems he isn't even making the bench at the moment.

I think he's just slipped behind Hoskins and with only 5 subs, there's no room when we have 2 strikers, a defender, midfielder and keeper. Can't see it changing, Macca will probably come in for Hoskins so Hoskins will take Monty's place on the bench.

Is Hoskins doing enough on the wing? Its hardly he is preferred position.

The ideal subs bench would be GK - DF - MF - WG/ST - ST; with at least two players able to cover more than one position. As it is, we've had a lot of specialists on the bench recently: on Saturday it was Williams (DL/ML), Monty (MC), Beattie (FC) and Cresswell (FC/ML). Only two subs could play in more than one position and both of those were left mid!

He has to be injured, otherwise cannot understand why he was not on bench if not starting (his corners are better then anyone elses and he is our only real threat from wide positions)
Why would you play Hoskins RHM when it's not a position he knows, or looks like he has a clue of what to do there unless Flynn was unavailable?
Why would you have a bench where the outfield players are Williams, Monty, Cresswell and BT unless he was injured?
Williams as defensive cover, OK
Monty as a Midfielder and holding player, OK
However, BT and Cress are too silimar and Cress is not a winger. S, to me it makes no sense unless Flynn is carrying a knock.

He picked up an injury at Walsall I believe. I was hoping he'd be back for Saturday, as he's the type of player we're lacking at the minute in my opinion.

He wasn't great, granted, but he wasn't bad. I really rate Flynn, his use of the ball is much better than most in our side and his delivery is usually pretty good. Add to that, the fact he's an out and out winger which we seriously lacked on Saturday.

I think thats a tat harsh. Up to getting dropped he has been performing well. Certainly better and more consistant than Quinn

can't agree with that,Stanny.I thought the games up to being dropped he was poor and at Walsall he was awful for most of the game. He appears to have the skills but lacks confidence at the moment. I think he will do ok for us but i think it was right to leave him out

I didnt go to Walsall Bart so cant comment on that one but the home games hes played he seemed to do ok. As I said no worse than Quinn (please note that I actually like Quinny)

Flynn was poor at Walsall but then 3/4 of the team were. If fit he needs to be on the bench ahead of either BT or Cressy. He offers something different.

i'm not bothered if flynn appears crap.. as long as he makes lowton look good then that is good enough for me as lowton is the source of most of our best moments
