We’ve been loyal to some for too long … I completely agree with what you’re saying but it’s not a popular opinion… an example would be to cash in on Egan last season for say £6-£7million and replace him with a player similiar to Anel for £3–£4million.

Cash in on Fleck to Arsenal and replace.

Unfortunately our succession planning isn’t/hasn’t been great and we keep hold of players way past their sell by date.
When Arsenal were interested in Fleck, he was in the best form of his life. If we’d sold him then, it would have been meltdown on here. “Why do we always sell our best players” etc.

I'm not referring to this deal, but deals in the past. Nathan Hemmingway said in one of his recent reports we should have signed John Souttar as he visited the club & was happy to sign but the negotiation went on too long and Rangers came in.

Possibly the same happened with Tom Lawrence too?
Matty Cash was the same when we were in the prem amongst others.

Sounds like this Khadra deal is down to Brighton & not us, but we cant say we're not painfully slow at getting deals over the line.
That’s complete bollocks about Cash. And Lawrence went to Rangers for more money and European football.

Can we all move this chat to the Josh Bowler thread and generate some real-life interest in him too?

Word I used was ‘possibly’ happened with Lawrence not did happen.

Why’s it bollocks about Cash? Wilder literally said we were in for him? Negotiations were going on and then Villa swooped in with a more appealing offer.

The point I was making is we’re slow at negotiations in an attempt to get the best deal but this also risks other clubs coming in. Maupay was the same when we were promoted. I don’t see how that’s bollocks?

Palmer at city would also be a great get although there’s buzz around him making their squad. If he doesn’t make the final cut though he could become available
Of course he doesn't need to make their final 25 given his age so would really depend on what they see him doing this season. I put in a shout for him last season, he'd be an incredible signing but can see him being on the fringes at City.

Whenever an offer is accepted for a player, his agent will speak to other clubs to let them know he’s available, what has been accepted in terms of the fee etc. He touts the player around to get the best deal and maximise his commission.

I get that 100% but there’s also evidence of clubs/ players that have been frustrated with us.

Don’t get me wrong would I rather us be sensible & have a club in 5 years time 100%

You see what Forest are doing at the moment, Lingard coming in on £200k PW that really is succeed or bust

Maupay was at the lane ready to sign, when his agent phoned Wilder and demanded that he personally should be paid more money. Wilder told him to do one and we signed mcburnie

True but hopefully if he’s not going to get minutes there they’d look for him to get some elsewhere but you never know with city feels like they only loan out the ones they’re ultimately going to sell.

Recently? I know McCabe and his crew could be proper nobheads but has there been much frustration since he’s gone? What’s the evidence?
Tbh, my gut feeling is that UW haven’t got much of an idea when it comes to football matters, as seen with Beerschott and Chateroux but there’s nothing concrete I can pin my hat on. I’m not prepared to get into arguments about “PA is clueless” because I can’t be arsed reading the list of “achievements” his defenders will indignantly post and, I’ve been wrong before but I suspect this season will end in disappointment again.

And you said "No", so I asked for "any proof".
You’re the one who claimed, against all evidence, he’s off to Blackburn. Therefore you have to prove he is, because you’re fighting the evidence he’s at the very least, down the line with joining us

There is no "evidence"?, it's all hear say.
Khadra hasnt signed for us, he hasnt signed a new contract at Brighton, Blackburn have submitted a loan offer, United have submitted a loan/loan to buy offer, but Brighton want him to sign a new contract before any loan deal is done, as his contract is up at the end of the season.

I am once again here asking, for the proof Blackburn have bid.

I have no proof, I never confessed to having any eather.
But, apparently Blackburn asked to loan him back for this season, Sunderland have also apparently approached, about his availability.
If you can prove they both havent, I'm happy to accept that.

Either*

Eather Either Or.Screenshot_20220721-201111_Samsung Internet.jpgBoth have been used over the years, Eather was generally used in the olden days, admittedly, was was made obsolete by the Scrabble dictionary, but was widely used by some very famous authors through the years.

I've just registered with Brighton's forum to read about khadra.
They either don't communicate the way we do or they really don't care about losing him.
Weird lot either way.
