Yes, I will cover it.If his agent makes a late demand for an extra £500,000 would you cover it?

What other players have we missed out on due to slow negotiation?Get the deal done before we lose out to another club. I appreciate getting the best deal for the club, but I’ve never known a club lose out on as many prospects because of slow negotiation. Khadra visited a week ago, the season is a week away & we want to visit Watford with our team ready.
This is what happened with Wednesday & then their big earners were released. They had the playoff final season & on the form they were in they should have probably gone up, then they had another go at it & then landside to L1.I would give out window so far 5/10 and nothing more.
We’ve signed a back up GK who was really already with us anyway, a back up CB in CC IMO he’s come to challenge JLT.
We’ve brough in an excellent prospect in Anel to play the much needed RCB position.
We’ve brought in Doyle who again is an excellent prospect.
BUT with a week and half to go we are still short a MD, CAM and a ST.
At present we are either relying on 2 young players who are not ready, or two players coming back from long term injuries to fill out striking roles.
The problem is this: without further reinforcement I think we could all get 90% of the team guessed for Watford and it would be 90% the same as previous seasons - we just aren’t evoking fast enough for me.
I know its dramatic but unless we recruit well & sell players whos years/ contracts are advancing/expiring while they still have a re-sale value then we could be in a tough position in a year or two
I'm not referring to this deal, but deals in the past. Nathan Hemmingway said in one of his recent reports we should have signed John Souttar as he visited the club & was happy to sign but the negotiation went on too long and Rangers came in.What other players have we missed out on due to slow negotiation?
If anyone else was interested in him, I think they know he's available by now so would already been in contact with him..
I genuinely think we'll be fine because we run the finances a lot better than them lot. But we're going to have a lot of players (owned players) advancing in their playing years over the next couple of years & keep making our squad up with loans signings.
Didn’t Souttar also have some family issues that lead him to staying in Scotland? (Something regarding his parents I believe)I'm not referring to this deal, but all the deals in the past. Possibly the same happened with Tom Lawrence too?
Matty Cash was the same when we were in the prem amongst others.
Sounds like this Khadra deal is down to Brighton & not us, but we cant say we're not painfully slow at getting deals over the line.
Unless we are in the Premiership
Don't complicate what was a clear and straightforward agendaDidn’t Souttar also have some family issues that lead him to staying in Scotland? (Something regarding his parents I believe)

You’re 100% right I do as I’ve joked about with my above responses. However, one message was prior to Nathan Hemmingway’s Q&A update & the other was after.
ThisI'm not convinced it takes us any longer than most clubs. The difference being we see rumours from the get go here so feels like things take a while as for other clubs we'll only see things once it hits the national press which is usually as the deal is pretty much done.
Really? They have some pretty tasty statistical types that they've been buying up.Who's the other Brighton player we're after as part of the Khadra deal?
That's the message I've just received!

Solly March or Neal Maupay please.Who's the other Brighton player we're after as part of the Khadra deal?

We’ve been loyal to some for too long … I completely agree with what you’re saying but it’s not a popular opinion… an example would be to cash in on Egan last season for say £6-£7million and replace him with a player similiar to Anel for £3–£4million.This is what happened with Wednesday & then their big earners were released. They had the playoff final season & on the form they were in they should have probably gone up, then they had another go at it & then landside to L1.

Yes, and I can't remember what PurpleRain or Champagneblade reported. But he was supposedly an amazing signing for BHAFC.Moises Caicedo was at Beerschot last season
Maybe the reason for the hold up if it could be a double dealYes, and I can't remember what PurpleRain or Champagneblade reported. But he was supposedly an amazing signing for BHAFC.
Was the first name I thought of.
Ah ok. I live close to Brighton but not got any ITKers I can ask.Mate who's a Brighton fan.
And I've just realised I should have typed you're not we're, but I was typing it as a message/question to fellow Blade on here.
There are endless ways it could go tbf. You'd have to be in the room to know.I dont understand the confusion.
He can leave for nothing soon, they have to protest their asset.
Why let him leave on loan again this season in his last year?
There will be so many negotiations involved in this.
I'm sure they'd snap our hand off if we wanted to buy, but for a loan we are probably going to have to make a a lot of promises.
Absolutely. There are endless ways it could go tbf. You'd have to be in the room to know.
They also have the right to trigger a year extension next summer I believeI dont understand the confusion.
