can only gauge from the change in mood over the last few weeks but for me a win tomorrow will surely only surfice? Im a blade looking on from the outside bit feel a win tomorrow will inject the enthusiasm and momentum we seemed to have lost... cmon blades it wwont be easy but we need this to kick on.

I think the change in mood is with some fans the likes of Brian the so called Blade on R.S. :). The manager and players are still very positive from interviews on the O/S site. The last two games we played were out of the ordinary with regards to sendings off and having to change the full back four. We are still in second place which most fans would have taken at the beginning of the season. I think we will put in a good display at Brentford and hopefully a win but our season won't be over if we don't. Twists and turns yet and it will be nerve racking but I think we will manage it if we keep playing the style of football we've been playing.

I am not so sure. With Colchester improving and us now with two away games I would say 4 points out of 6 is needed to get back on track.

It's a bit like driving. Have you ever found on a country road with twists and turns it is harder to keep ahead of someone than it is to follow on their heels?

Footy is also very much confidence driven and I think Utd have well and truly lost the plot. Indeed I think it is now unlikely they will win auto-promotion and in a week's time I expect to see Pigs ahead of us and Town catching up again. Both now have managers with something to prove and we screwed up just at the wrong time.

I like Wilson's attitude, but something is very badly wrong here. He appears to be late bringing on subs and to lose to Oldham and get nothing out of Walsall shows fragility in the extreme. Expect play off failure I am afraid, but at least one can hope.

Today is massively important - we need to win to get our season back on track. A few weeks ago we were in an excellent position - playing good football, looking confident & winning games, often easily. But the last few games have been shocking - poor defending, a lack of discipline and wasteful in attack. The 2nd half v Oldham is one of the worst performances I've seen from a Blades' team in over 30 years of supporting them (given the poor standard of the opposition & the way we completely threw way such a commanding position).

I can't see the pigs or Huddersfield dropping too many points during the remainder of the season so we need to get back to winning ways quickly. It's still in our own hands - but only just.

You say that, but on the same day Huddersfield threw away a 3 goal lead to only draw, and the pigs were lucky to get a point away at.... erm.... Rochdale possibly?

I think today's game is important, but more from a confidence perspective as I'm sure the other sides around us will drop points along the way.
