Obviously he needs to feel welcome and PH needs to show him he’ll be given a fair crack at the whip and on the flip side he needs to show he wants to be here.

But it always amazes me that we have football clubs which spend millions upon millions of pounds on footballers but often show little or now desire to help players (often teenagers or not much older) settle into a new / foreign country where they know no one and might not even speak the language.

They are only ever going to perform at their best if they feel comfortable/settled. I’m convinced this is the reason so many signings flop. We should have had a plan for him if we’re bringing him over, show him what we know about where he’d fit in if he performs well and what our vision is for him and make him feel like more than a commodity - that’s just common sense.
Have you thought about contacting him to let him know his situation could be far worse? Your experience as a Blade in Leeds, you must really know what feeling unwelcome is like🤣

Fair point

To be honest I should think again before posting anything from The Star.

Shields has written an absolute honking turd of an article there.

"Maybe"
"Probably"
"Might"

Do you get the impression that the club leave The Star and Radio Sheffield in the dark the most compared to other outlets?

I get that the club is doing better at keeping things quiet but it seems to be other outlets that break Blades news.

I think the star have been on the outside looking in since they backed Wilder against ownership.

Great way to start a new article “whatever the truth of the situation” when you preface your point of view with the admission of knowing nothing it loses quite a bit of its weight.
Yes he is fishing in the dark as he knows nothing about it.
Coming out with comments like that( Star) just making waves which are not necessary .
The lad is probably overwelmed by how challenging this will be.
Can't see us not giving him the support he needs if we are into bringing young players on board.

illman Ndiah had problems too ! His revolved around his contract which he was far from happy about.
Where there's a will there's a way.

Who is it, Danny Hall?

Things like that make you question the point of it all.

But along with the rumour of weighorst, this would have been down to the former manager not wanting the player at the club.

Wilder chose his players, anything else was a deal breaker for him..

Wonder if CW would have wanted illiman at the club?

Now that would have been embarrassing.

Ndiaye's first call up to the first team coincided with CW leaving.

I've rewritten the headline for you James;

"I haven't got a fucking clue what's happening at united any more, but here's my opinion anyway"

He’s literally got one job, find out what’s happening at just one club and write it down

Look, fans need to stop thinking that the local journalist’s purpose in life is to be on our side and keep us informed.
They’re there to generate revenue for their employers that’s why they're employed.
This nothing story just further spreads unrest and encourages criticism of a young player who’s clearly still finding his way in adapting and it has no original content or comment.
He hasn’t looked to down play it at all given the messages that are also freely available on social media, or looked to further substantiate them. Of course the club are going to want to talk to him. If he worked for me I’d be wanting to talk to him to find out what’s happened, if he’s struggling and how can we help. That’s worded like it’s a bollocking coming his way, which I don’t believe and it would appear is the last thing he needs.
The local lads may be fans but they’re not there for the benefit of the club, players or even fans. We expect too much and are far too naive, so if we’re disappointed then it’s on us really.

I actually think James should really make the most of the voice he’s got. Who wouldn’t love to hear Blades news delivered by William Butcher?

“I'll tell you what. When we're promoted, I'll buy you a nice, big, family size bottle of top-shelf lube and I'll tickle your balls till you beg me to stop and even then I won't. I just won't do it. In the meantime the board need to take their tongues out of each other’s arse, slap on their big boy pants and make a fucking decision.

“Hecky, McCall and Jack, as managers?
When they’re apart, they’re absolute fucking rubbish. But, you put them together, then my son, then, they’re the goddamn fucking Spice Girls”

To a degree I agree with you and The Star is peddling clickbait most of the time these days. That said if they reported better they may have kept a better relationship with the club.

Feel sorry for this lad already. He's been built as our saviour and within weeks he's enemy number 1, without playing a single game. All based on some interview that was probably taken in the wrong context and twitter journalists with nothing to write about.
