It was but not overly bothered about the result. Just great to see our lads having an input

I reckon he's going to be good player for us

He already is a good player for us , exemplified by his performance in the second leg against Forest when he almost completely nullified their threat down the right which had been such a problem at the Lane .

As is often the case on this forum , there were those who were quick to write him off as not being good enough after their expert and detailed analysis of his first couple of games but I was not one of them .

In this respect , the same applies to the treatment given to the likes of Ramsdale , Jack Robinson and Wes on here and given the outcome , would hope for a more measured and less hysterical assessment of our players capabilities and potential in future .

However , I don’t hold out much hope since there is clearly a small minority who get their kicks out of posting the “ He’s shite , get rid “ stuff after having watched a player for less than two hours .

Sad .

Agreed. He got stick for essentially being steady and reliable. He made a couple of mistakes earlier in the season, but name me a player who didn’t? He was far from the bottom of the list of our issues when Slav was here.

First season with us too. I expect he’ll make that spot his own now. Stevens has been off it for 2 years now, so I doubt he’ll reclaim it, also factoring in his age. Lowe is the only contender, but I think he’ll go.

Well done to Rhys on the goal anyway. Another academy graduate excelling on the international stage. I don’t think we’ve ever had an academy player score an international goal whilst playing for us still, have we?

Exactly this

Anyone who knows anything about football can see there’s a good player in there .

I reckon he's going to be good player for us

Overall, I wasn't impressed last year by RND. He had about 4/5 games in total where I thought 'there might be a player there' but he also had some stinkers, Stoke away he stood out as the worst of a bad bunch.

But I thought in the 2nd leg at Forest he was excellent and it appears he gave a good account of himself last night too.

Cause for optimism.

If you need to click into a post to work out who the title is referring to, then the nickname needs work

I’d argue the contrary. Not a fan of obvious nicknames - Gaz for Gary etc.

The more out there the better IMO.

Should be buzzing after that when he comes back for pre-season.

Incentive of a World Cup spot to play for will hopefully see him kick on now.
