Wouldn’t be too far to travel. Just been in Edinburgh and was thinking it’d be good to visit for the football, if nothing else but to sample more of the pubs!

Might as well play an English non league side... apart from Rangers and Celtic are the Scottish leagues competitive enough?
 
I like the idea that the club turns a profit and then decides to pre-season in Scotland haha.

I'm pretty certain a preseason game against Hearts would be more competitive than another against Europa Point FC
 
Rather we played a game that wasn't called off due to a downpour.

We need to get a solid pre season. Project restart, the following season and last year we were behind due to not being in the right condition.

Well it will be better than the shambolic preseason last year. By the way what has a profit got to do with preseason friendlies? You suggesting we should go to UAE and squander what little money we have.
 
Realistically we arent going to be on the radar of Celtic/Rangers for friendlies. But we could easily have 3 1/2 first/U23s friendlies against a host of Scottish clubs. Hibs, Livingston and Motherwell (just for the jokes) are all reasonably close to each other. We could base ourselves in Edinburgh for 10 days and play 3 fixtures probably finishing on Hibs and could easily be deemed a successful tour
 
Tour de Fife: Cowdenbeath, Raith, East Fife, finishing off with the biggy at Kelty Hearts (nae time fae Dunfirmline). What's not to like
 
Hibs will likely be on the cards should there be a Scottish Tour, seen some of their flags recently with United ones

Was just a joke really. Couldn't care less whether it's in Scotland, Maldives or Stavely.

Only ‘problem’ wi Kelty is the dearth of alehouses in the village
Wonderful hospitality in their social club but for a ‘proper’ swallie may have to tolerate (taxi to / from) Dunfermline (😳)
 
If we're looking for an economy trip but still a little bit exotic Lincolnshire is open to visitors this summer.😀
