We did that last season Hall?! 48 hours on are you feeling; a tad better? I'm still miffed/down but my mother in law is up so that's cheered me up no end!Gibraltar please
Ha! Well the team trained in Gib this pre-season but played in Spain, also none of us could travel to watch them, get them playing on the Rock and let us travel, be a great trip out!We did that last season Hall?! 48 hours on are you feeling; a tad better? They were crap though Gibraltar?! Maybe we could play a decent ish la Liga team, like real betis off the top of my head.Ha! Doesn't the stadium in Gibraltar have an AstroTurf pitch? Can't imagine we would be keen to play a friendly on an AstroTurf pitch...Ha! It's a synthetic pitch but they aren't like the astro of the old days, it's quality and they host international teams there, I even played on it once, was like real grass. However I concede you may be right that the lads wouldn't be keen. I just want an excuse to return to the Rock. It's purely selfish.Doesn't the stadium in Gibraltar have an AstroTurf pitch? Yeah I know they're not like the old astro pitches, but even the newest 5G pitches aren't exactly like grass, the ball still doesn't quite bounce the same etc. Gibraltar are only allowed to hold friendlies there now aren't they? Don't they have to play competitive games elsewhere since they joined UEFA?It's a synthetic pitch but they aren't like the astro of the old days, it's quality and they host international teams there, I even played on it once, was like real grass. No. I've covered qualification international games for radio in Gib against the likes Ireland, Denmark and Estonia.Yeah I know they're not like the old astro pitches, but even the newest 5G pitches aren't exactly like grass, the ball still doesn't quite bounce the same etc. Gibraltar are only allowed to hold friendlies there now aren't they? The FIFA World Cup Qualifier in October between Andorra & England was played on a plastic pitch.Yeah I know they're not like the old astro pitches, but even the newest 5G pitches aren't exactly like grass, the ball still doesn't quite bounce the same etc. Gibraltar are only allowed to hold friendlies there now aren't they? Just been out in Matlock tonight at Mad Hatter. Nice chicken burger and a good choice of drinks.Hopefully a visit to Matlock.
I remember wilders first season and getting up early to go to cleethorpes on the train, I thought to myself a nice sunny day, a few beers by the seaside watching the blades and bring some candy floss back… I wasn’t expecting a full scale riot from 12pm until we got back to the train station !Grimsby away, Leeds at home, Millwall away. Then first game of the new season against play-off final losers Forest at home.
