Atmosphere today

I would have thought for the players it's probably more of a boost to have your own fans at ground level, at corners etc.

Thought there was a period second half where the players looked beaten and needed a bit of a rally/forcing their heads back into it which didn’t come, but other than that, it was decent for a match of its nature and context - usually fairly dead or mardy these days.

We had a few in from of us who I guess we're BLUT / family stand residents. They seemed to be loving the noise, seemed like they might move onto the kop.
The mums face and two young kids faces lit up at the bloke holding a smoke bomb in the air. Luckily they weren't too scared of it.

Overall the noise was the best in a long time. It did take a dent when we were down, and play was flat, but bounced back well.
Players definitely want it and thrive on it.

Just goes to show how you get diff perspectives , I was in South Stand H and the Kop seemed very quiet . Massive bollock on clubs part giving the them the BLUT , hope they’ll learn from that.
Not particularly yesterday but in general we sadly don’t create some of the raucous atmospheres of yesterday year at The Lane , certainly a lot more that vocal away from home , not sure what reason is for that tbh ? ⚔️

Why are a clubs away fans typically more raucous than home? Reasons for this are pretty well understood and have been discussed at length. Solutions to closing this gap are also generally well understood. Challenge is committed fan organisation and club coordination.

We were on ss g block, forest support was good and noisy but that is what we are like when winning and playing well. Considering we didn’t play well yesterday and littered with mistakes our support was good, hopefully we don’t make the same mistakes on Tuesday game wise, get 1 up and see if they can cope with the nerves, difficult but who knows with gibbs white firing

Atmosphere was class from where I was sat - the Kop.

I could hardly hear Forest but I’m fully aware that that doesn’t mean they weren’t noisy.

I was on the John St middle to kop side (i normally go on the kop), and to be fair you could here the Forest fans which to be honest so you should when winning for most of the match. But credit to our fans who were great and never gave up.
The 2000 that are going on Tuesday need to match the Forest fans today at least.
We will

I sit near the back of the Kop and I'm genuinely surprised by people saying it was quiet. It was so loud where I was sat it was borderline giving me a headache.

Just got back to the North East after a busy weekend so sorry for the late post.
I was sat in the bottom corner of South Stand, next to the Kop, and I've got to say the atmosphere was immense!! Even when we went one nil down, we drowned the Florist out with WE ARE THE BLADES. The Kop absolutely packed, even the hard to shift seats behind the pillars were taken. With everybody from halfway stood up!! Take a bow Kopites you were brilliant. The South Stand did their bit too, especially the sections towards the away end, Who really did us proud. John St looked fantastic with the Red & White Stripes, and tried to carry on the flow from the Kop. The BLLT was totally filled apart from s small section to the left, you lot were fantastic and worth a good mention as it's a part of the ground we don't usually sit in, so can be difficult to get the singing going. All in all, although the result was crap, WE certainly showed up, and don't need a Band, Phone torches, Lights etc to get behind the Team.
Well Done Everybody.❤️⚔️

The Kop noise doesn't travel to wel, it depends which part of the ground you are in, or maybe what direction the wind blows, who knows, but the Lane end often sounds louder due to the acoustics and especially the upper tier.
If you've ever arrived late to go on the Kop though, the noise coming out the back of the Kop as you go up the steps can be unbelievable.
I went on the Lane end yesterday... you could hear the Kop, but as I say it doesn't travel to well to get the full impact/decibel level at the other end...could hear G&H loud and clear when they got going a few times, and more noise on the lower tier than I thought, although not Kop standards.

I was already writing my post when you posted this, absolutely correct 👍🏻

I'm a qualified acoustic engineer with over 15 years of experience, and the BLUT is 100% the best area of the ground for crowd acoustics
You should genuinely send some suggestions to the current/new owners for when the Kop is eventually done up.👍

Get your ears checked,I came home and my ears were ringing from the noise on the Kop.

As a lot of others have said, it depends where you're sat in the ground.

I sat in the BLLT for the first time ever on Saturday and it was impossible to hear anything from the Kop.

Likewise, I usually sit at the back of the Kop and it's rare to be able to hear anything from the away end.

Commentater on sky saying its not only one of the best atmospheres in the championship, one of the best in the whole league

Have we not got the highest attendances in the league this season? Maybe that is why they assumed that. :)

Even more of a stupid idea to give Forest that part of the ground. Has there actually been an official reason given for this decision? I just hope those in charge learn from this in the future.
There wont be because they dont give a shit about us fans
