Where has all this come from that basham needs an operation and is apparently out for the season?

I thought it was an unusual challenge that Bash put in when he got injured? He was going to be first to the ball and it was perfect for him to slide in, easily win it and clean out the Swansea defender at the same time. Instead he ran an extra step and sort of collided with their player without really attempting to play the ball?

Next thing he’s limping off, not sure what he did? I can only assume its due to the fucking medical team again 🙄

Wonder if Bash has been playing through some sort of injury barrier.

Has been slightly off his game the previous two matches anyway.

No idea on the severity of Bash's injury but he looked very subdued at full time on Saturday and unusually for him, went quickly down the tunnel.

More notably for me was his lack of reaction to the likes of Lester and some of the other staff and players. They looked at each other as if to say what's up with him.

If true, this piled up fixture list is royally fucking us and to be frank, simply isn't fair. A squad playing into form, and growing in confidence - fucked over by so many other sides crying off against us. Then the league ask us to the ones that shoulder that burden and struggle through.

I trust Goode from the little I’ve seen of him. But the worry is we are truly down to the bare bones and still have a quarter of the season left.

Telling ya I dont get rumours usually but this is actually from a player.

Unless Bash is on an unbelievable wage then I cant see us not offering him a contract however I was reading an interview with him where he was talking about his contract renewal and he seemed quite happy with the fact that he was in control of it as he was fast approaching the number of games needed to trigger an extension.

Players tend to know if an injury is serious so he may have known then that the extension was now out of his hands

We should have publicised that Brewster, McGoldrick, Bogle and Basham are out for 4 months with COVID and postponed every game until they got back

That seems like the normal, logical thing to do this season

We should have, everyone else was trying it on.

I'll be gutted if this is true, but not as worried if Goode steps up like he did at the weekend.

As other teams are tiring as the season goes on, we're introducing fresher legs who haven't played as much, so Baldock and Goode are adding extra benefits to an already rock solid defence.

It's a testament to Hecky that despite injuries and squad rotation the solid defence and clean sheets have remained a constant.
