Nuno is going to want a handsome contract and probably money we cant afford to spend.

So its just history repeating itself. The Prince has broken promises with 2 managers now….Nuno would be a guaranteed third. Imo its putting the financial future of the club at risk. The Prince categorically cannot afford to keep doing what hes doing.

Was it though? Do we really need a manager who comes out after every game beating his chest and sucking us off in interviews after the game.

We were never going to get that from Slav but as far as I can tell he was the best manager we could have got at the time. I think his biggest problem was being lied to about who he could bring in and how much time he was going to get in the job.

Not remotely surprised to see this. If the fella was WBA or Fulham manager he'd have been sacked before the international break. The club obviously didn't do their homework on him, particularly his spells at Fulham and Watford. I did and predicted it would be a car crash.It would have been a brave man that invested in Slav's vision as he hasn't shown any signs of being able to set a team up, manage in game, or to recruit players.The word 'Inept' would sum his spell up.
That said the owner is the bigger issue. United World is a shit show and despite gaining increased control at United they seemingly have no idea what to do with it.
The question now is do we bring in a short term appointment that will get us to safety, or bring in a longer term appointment with a vision. My view would depend on the scope for recruitment in January.

The bloke has just been sacked by Spurs. Common sense tells you he’s out of our price range. Everything was laid out for him at Wolves in terms of the players he could bring in. He wont have that here.

We had a chat with Slav. I think its fair to assume we’ve painted a very rosy picture for him and if he’d have realised the reality back then he wouldnt have taken the job. If the Prince keeps doing that, no one will want to work for him or we’ll end up in financial shit creek.
