I think the interesting point in what he has said is that his new employers shared the same ethics. Obviously that is in reference to his relationship with the board and the Prince at SU.

Click the link, two lines of text then an advert asking me to sign up to exclusive Sheffield United news for £2 per month.. pop up ad asking me to enter a prize draw (which it won't let me click off) ended up closing the ad, absolute shithole of a website.

"There has been a lot of talk about me absolutely wanting to run everything - it is complete nonsense," he said. "I just wanted to work with good people who had the same vision and ideas and ethics of how I see a club running.

I don’t want to run everything but I want everyone around me running things how I want them run.

TBF wasn’t it going to be the lad Winkel? Looking at how us, Beerschot and the others are faring - think CW was probably right.
Aye, but in fairness it's not worked out too well doing it his own way either.

I genuinely think you're right on that. If we'd gone and got someone he trusted and respected he'd have probably got on board.

Does make you wonder what exactly he was being asked to do?

Boro may want him as manager but they sure as shit are not gonna trust him with their munneh after the way he spunked it at the Lane.
With better supervision , (certainly better than our amateur operation) he'll probably be successful there
Spunked alert

I am no apologist for Wilder but our current regime couldn't run a piss-up in a brewery - the manager they chose for our renovation project is completely the wrong type to bang basic ideas into to heads of lazy overpaid players with some choice Anglo-Saxon vocabulary + a quickly recruited hard-case captain like Vinnie or Chris Morgan.
