Poor.

The same teams we play every single pre-season plus Doncaster and Blackpool at home, which fans are hardly going to rush down to the Lane for. Every pre-season the fans want a big team at BDTBL, yet we never get it.

Apparently we tried to get Real Zaragoza however that is just a rumour.

The Blackpool friendly is hardly a huge surprise.

When the initial article on fixtures was put up on the OS the Blackpool game was included in the table at the bottom but not in the main article....it was swiftly removed.

Interesting that DW has picked Donny and that tangerine shower, football philosophy and all that.

any one going.
24th July
Does any know the price?

I'm guessing about a tenner, i think i should be going because i can't make the Blackpool game the week after i go away for 5 days that day. It might also depend on if we are at home the opening day i haven't got a season ticket next season so i have to pick my games wisely.

Sensible if not spectacular choices. We'll learn more from these games than a glamour tie against one of the so called big boys.

Shouldn't we be playing teams who resemble the Div1 norm?

Friendlies are all about fitness and getting used to each other and styles. You could argue that playing against like minded teams would benefit us more than playing against a team trying to kick us off the pitch. IMO, if we really are serious about changing the way we play, it's more important that we get used to playing that way at this stage. Have no fear, Morgs will be drilling 'the other side of the game' into them ;)

Will the Doncaster and Blackpool matches be free entry for ST holders?

Doubt it. The Blackpool game is part of the Open Day which, if memory serves, was £10 last year although they did family tickets which worked out cheap.

I think that they'll be made as attractive as possible to be honest.

I'd expect to hear in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Aye we'll be there.

Can't see it costing much, should find out very shortly.

Should fill the ground like fayc v man utd. Free for st holders and a couple of quid for rest. Make more on refreshments and merchendise than if get 3000 at a tenner
