Why the ruck did SJ think Osborn would ever do a job at fullback? This worries me. When I saw the team I thought, are you fuckin sure mate? I was proved correct, appalling display, cost us the goal.

Who would you have played at LB instead? The lack of a left back on the bench seems to suggest the other options weren’t available

Didn't have much choice though if he wants to play 4, apart from Lowe, he's a bit taller maybe.

RND and Stevens injuries unfortunate. Hopefully resolved by the next game because we definitely can't go with those two on the left again.
 
Just cos no one was on the bench doesn't mean there is not a young tall fullback amongst the reserves who could perform better than the midget Osborn ffs.

Yeah embarrassing showing for them. They need to watch that game back and be ashamed into submission. If they don’t change get fucking rid ASAP. Johansen going to QPR is looking like a huge missed opportunity, as is Mowatt to WBA.

Not my job mate. SJ has to start earning his coin and find one, I refuse to believe there's no one at the clubs who couldn't step up, god help us if there isn't. Lazy selections like today will cost us this season, and possibly him his job as well.

Even if they watched it back, I can't see either turning it around: the issues seem to stem from a complete lack of athleticism and drive.
I was going to say that maybe their complete lack of strength or pace was down to age, but I was shocked to see that they're 29 and 30. They should be in their prime still, instead they look like retirees playing in a testimonial.

The thing he was best at today was flicking it up and volleying it over his shoulder and down the line. I’ve not seen anyone volley it over their shoulder with such frequency since we had Stephen Quinn.
 
Neither are capable of playing in a back 4.

They could / should have had 3 or 4 from crossed today. Won’t take sides long to work out how to score if we persist with them

What a perfect reference: Quinn mastered the no look pass, over the shoulder, regardless of whether there was a red and white shirt there or not.

You're seriously talking about the selections he made in his very first competitive match, and only his 3rd in total as our manager. This is what I mean when I say football fans don't know how to criticize sensibly, always have to go way over the top, way too soon.

This is something I’ve noticed before. It’s like some fans have to be ridiculous in their views, a player/manager is either amazing or terrible, there is no in between. The shoutbox during a game is a perfect example of it.
 
Get rid of Ramsdale…he’s replaceable Berge isn’t use the cash on the defence and midfield

Good point, though an objective summary of some of tonight's performances would sound like hyperbole.

With all respect, this is an idiotic reply. If the players aren’t available then they aren’t available. You say that SJ should have chosen someone else but aren’t able to say who he should’ve chosen. It’s like me saying “he should’ve picked someone who can play exactly like Messi”. When you then ask who that player is I could easily say “it’s not my job to know who that player is, he’s the manager, he should be able to find a player who is just like Messi”. It’s simplistic nonsense.
 
Both their contracts are up at the end of the season. It's most likely that we'll be in this division next season. I can see Robinson just leaving but Osborn is a handy squad player to have. Especially considering we don't have that many.

i think both will be released if slav is still here think this time next year this current squad will have been decimated new era 12 months away
