Higher than his £16.2m valuation?Michael Ball expects Everton to make late move for Sander Berge
Everton will make a late move for Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge if they manage to offload fringe players before the transfer window shuts, according to Michael Ball.
Berge is facing the prospect of competing in the Championship after suffering relegation with the Blades last season.
Everton and Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Berge since Sheffield United’s relegation was confirmed, with the 23-year-old having a £35million release clause after suffering the drop – higher than his £16.2m valuation on Transfermarkt.
The Toffees, under new boss Rafa Benitez, have been eager to get some out-of-favour players off the wage bill and former Everton left-ball Ball feels the Merseyside club may look to sign Berge shortly before the window slams shut at the end of the month.
What's Italian for "get to fuck then?"
What’s his favourite position?farsi scopare
What’s his favourite position?
The player hasn't come out stating that he wants to leave! Where do you get your info from?Because the player wants to move on and the club needs to act in order to address the shortfall in revenue next season (despite what you may hear to the contrary).
The release clause is a red herring - if a club offers that, Utd have no choice but to sell. They can of course accept lower offers and/or structured offers if they wish. They may well include performance related fees.
Do you really think the club will retain all its main assets beyond the end of the transfer deadline?
As does “before the transfer window slams shut”."higher than his £16.2m valuation on Transfermarkt" signals written by a 16 year old virgin
75 million for both we’d trip over ourselves to accept it would mean they’d pay 40 for ramsdale which is a massive jump from 18+ add ons rising to 25. Got to say I’m bored of being linked to arsenal transfers because it’s an absolute media circus around their club because of how rabid there fans areSeen online that Arsenal are looking at offering 75m for both Berge & Ramsdale. Obviously BS - but I cant see us turning that down.
Why would we do that? If he has a minimum fee release clause, by all means they can stagger the payments but that won’t include performance related fees.
We’re playing hardball because we want to keep him. And we absolutely should be.
He wants champs league football thought right? He won't get it at Everton. He might get a FA cup last 16 though..I could see Everton throwing the £35M needed at it, that's about how much they paid for the bag of wank Iwobi.
Not sure he does. Everton would be a significant step up from us. They're well backed, have a solid manager finally appointed and they'll give him a platform to earn that move to a top club if he performs. From his perspective it would make a lot of sense. He wants champs league football thought right? He won't get it at Everton. He might get a FA cup last 16 though..
Sure he wanted champions League football, they've had a superior manager (last season) yet still didn't come anywhere close. Not sure he does. Everton would be a significant step up from us. Simple question. If you are Sander and Everton offer the £35M would you leave?Sure he wanted champions League football, they've had a superior manager (last season) yet still didn't come anywhere close.
Are you my wife? That's what the best looking midfielder in the league looks like *
Of course! Though. He won't be getting what he wantsSimple question. If you are Sander and Everton offer the £35M would you leave?
Well no, but I'm sure he wants Real Madrid. This is a step to getting to where he wants to be.Of course! Though. He won't be getting what he wants
Barca all the way mateWell no, but I'm sure he wants Real Madrid. This is a step to getting to where he wants to be.
Well fucking table it then. If you’re gonna shoot, shoot, don’t talk.Arsenal are reportedly willing to table a sizeable offer for both Ramsdale and Berge that the Blades, as a Championship club, would find difficult to turn down.
good questionGenuine question: Are release clauses generally structured with a buffer period before the end of each transfer window (ie the release clause is only valid until say 23rd August)? It seems stupid to agree to a condition that leaves you open to a swoop at a minute to midnight on deadline day with no say in accepting it and no opportunity to get a (permanent) replacement.
Very good question - I’ve also always wondered how release clauses work in the context of how the buying club makes up the consideration.Genuine question: Are release clauses generally structured with a buffer period before the end of each transfer window (ie the release clause is only valid until say 23rd August)?
