The home kit looks well nice when viewed from the front, hideous when viewed from the rear. If they insist on not putting stripes down the rear of the shirt then for heavens sake why not have the complete rear in just 1 simple plain colour instead of those pathetic looking stripes at the bottom, sorry but I find the look embarrassing. For me it’s a 9 out of 10 for the front of the shirt but an emphatic 0 out of 10 for the rear.

I just ordered away shirt for son for his birthday, I buy him new shirt every year the home shirt is ghastly at the back.

It's the same material as the GK kit last season, with the little hexagons on. I bought the green short sleeved one and not had any issues with it yet.

Maybe I'm lucky though?
You would like think that with innovation that have sorted out this issue, from experience this material is terrible but I’m talking shirts from a few years back and older so hopefully what you have is the standard they are now..

I don't want to be that person but...........how hard is it to put stripes on the back of a fucking shirt!!!
On the back and on the sleeves. They must not be allowed to do it for some reason because there's no possible excuse for it otherwise. There's no way by now that they haven't recognised the absolutely unanimous opinion of the fans in favour.

4 white stripes to 3 red ones but I can see why they've done that due to the sleeves, 3/4 of the back and socks are all solid red.

The sponsor, Adidas motif and Blades badge appear very cheap looking as though they've been copied and pasted on! Randox sponsor a little too high up for me also but that seems to be becoming more frequent these days.

In summary it's OK if not a little dull, certainly nothing special but it might grow on me a little like last seasons did although thats now going to be forever condemned as a relegation shirt.

Black shorts home and away? Cue unnecessary third strip

We had red change shorts that we never wore in a match in 19/20. I picked up a pair in the sale for £7. Wear them all the time.

They launched the silver away kit with them and never ever wore the combo.

Seems that Barca and Newcastle have been able to incorporate stripes on their back for the forthcoming season, so this rule saying striped shirt backs are banned by Uefa/PL is crap. That's my first point. Second and more pertinent point: we've had solid back stripe shirts for FOUR consecutive seasons now - including this season. Surely they know that producing a striped shirt all over would be a winner apart from the fact that the history of the club has always had striped shirts, minus some of the very early pinstriped ones. Can it be that hard?! Do the club have any influence in this also, or are they fine with solid back home shirts? Would Man U be ok if they had a red and white front or back, I don't see the difference to us having to have a solid back!

It may be only a tedious issue to some, but I'm really not in a good mood after last night and seeing the latest shirt has somewhat annoyed me as have every home Adidas shirt if honest, bar one. Was really hoping we'd not extended the Adidas deal for this reason but think we're staying with them for years. I will not be buying it, but will, again, be looking out for quality retro United shirts from when we managed to have striped shirts on a more regular basis - like at least once every four years! Hopefully the club will do this themselves, rather than having to buy one from an independent.

Finally, red socks the least favourable over white or black, that seems to have become a recent Adidas trend also.
