Come on then, I'm seeing plenty of "'Over the Moon' 'Best we could do' 'This is great news' etc.etc." but not much Why. Other then getting Fulham and Watford promoted, why should we be excited about this appointment?
Good pedigree as a player, doesn't always translate into management but has experience of winning La Liga and playing in the World Cup. As a manager he's succeeded at several clubs around the world but Fulham and Watford are the most prominent and relevant to us. Fulham in particular were known for the brand of classy attacking football they played, and he developed youth players there. He's capable of using what we've got, developing the youth, and keeping some consistency to the style of play before Wilder's downfall began.

The only thing against him is that he was let go by both those clubs in the Prem, but in terms of what we could realistically aim at I haven't seen a better name (and let's be fair, Watford love sacking managers). Someone like Blessin would've been interesting but it would've been a punt on a first timer. Jokanovic has been here and done it before and is only 52 so has plenty of mileage left in him.

Can we give the owner some credit at last .They said we wouldn’t sign Brewster and berge .They said we would appoint cheap heckingbottom.

He’ll get credit for now but if we are mid table next season...the hate for PA will return.
You can bet some will even say “we should have appointed Higginbottam as he knows the club...terrible decision to choose SJ”

However at this moment in time the best out there are Jokanovic and Eddie Howe...so you can’t criticise the ambition.

Meanwhile, over with the Baggies...

He’ll be in for a shock if Ismaël turns up if that’s what he thinks of wilder 😂

Excellent, cheers.

Well done PA. He's done his bit, now let us the supporters do ours and make sure we have a sell out of season tickets for the home fans. Let's get the Lane rocking again.

I haven’t renewed yet...was thinking of paying on the day...think the deadline is tomorrow afternoon.
There’s a principle at stake here. If the club show ambition then I’ll show them my money.

I will be renewing 2 season tickets tonight...I was tempted anyway but this appointment has now made it a certainty.

I thought the misspellings of Hugeingbottom had peaked. Looks like I was wrong.

So happy.

I can see us scoring a bucket load of goals next season under Slav. And no VAR to rule them out.
