Good pedigree as a player, doesn't always translate into management but has experience of winning La Liga and playing in the World Cup. As a manager he's succeeded at several clubs around the world but Fulham and Watford are the most prominent and relevant to us. Fulham in particular were known for the brand of classy attacking football they played, and he developed youth players there. He's capable of using what we've got, developing the youth, and keeping some consistency to the style of play before Wilder's downfall began.Come on then, I'm seeing plenty of "'Over the Moon' 'Best we could do' 'This is great news' etc.etc." but not much Why. Other then getting Fulham and Watford promoted, why should we be excited about this appointment?
The only thing against him is that he was let go by both those clubs in the Prem, but in terms of what we could realistically aim at I haven't seen a better name (and let's be fair, Watford love sacking managers). Someone like Blessin would've been interesting but it would've been a punt on a first timer. Jokanovic has been here and done it before and is only 52 so has plenty of mileage left in him.
