Crucially for me, I doubt Jokanovic would have come had he not had reassurances that he would have control of transfers. Yes it'll be a two way process and presumably Slav will have to work hand in hand with the board/Van Winckel, and that will mean being open to their recruitment, but crucially Slav has the last say. That's my guess, because the Prince did say that also, but Slav got burned at Fulham with no control of transfers, especially the £100m that was spent in the summer they got promoted, Slav voiced his concerns at times at the lack of control he had, so I would presume this would have been of paramount importance to him also in deciding to take the job. He doesn't come across as a patsy to me, to use the phrase Chris Wilder used!
