Ramsdale--our worst signing ever?

You have to admit Rammers had a bad start but oh boy now, he's my player of season, the one handed save last night was out of this world, just a shame he has statues playing in front of him.
 
I do fear for him. He's getting the most random injuries. Seems to be a new one every game!
 
Brewster now has this title, hope he turns it around.

Think Gareth Bale played 22 games for Spurs without winning a game and was nearly swapped for Stewart Downing so things can change.

With Ramsdale it would be nice to have the number 1 position nailed down and sorted for the next 12 years which is why the signing was understandable as he's not really the type to agitate for a move elsewhere, though I can see the temptation of cashing in and using that to strengthen other parts of the team which we definitely need to do somehow.

Based on reports, I wouldn't be too upset to see Verrips starting as our number 1 next season if that happens.

Thats what happens when you throw yourself around a bit and overstretch to make important saves.the lad carried on give him credit for that.if he was feining injury he could have come off

I don't buy into this buying for the Championship and future nonsense we've paid £18 million for a goalkeeper that should go into the first team and improve us. This rubbish about going down and coming back up why not just stay up in the first place? He hasn't really done anything above and beyond what Moore would have done. Henderson won us points on his own last season and I just don't see Ramsdale doing that. I hope I'm proved wrong as he's a young Sheffield lad but he's heading for two relegations in two years at this stage.

I was a huge Ramsdale critic and still maintain we should sell if it’s money back....or possibly more....
Brewster has now confirmed his position as our worst ever signing....I hope he proves me wrong also, but I doubt it. Jennifer is a far better prospect...
 
Unfortunately too many blades thought the same too, glad the majority took time to see the bigger picture stuck with him and we have one of the best in the championship next season

He’s been so bad for us that he’s earnt a place in the provisional Euros squad - if that doesn’t tell you ‘worst signing ever’ then nothing will!
 
Hold my hands up proved me wrong, I said he has good aspects and good potential but wasn’t up to it and should have had a run out of the team....also said Darren ward would sort him out

Second half of the season looks head and shoulders above where he was....this is why I coach at non league level 😂

hopefully been in and around the first squad will boost him massively, good signs since christmas

There were even calls to take him out of the firing line with one thread on a popular fans’ message board simply titled, “Ramsdale — our worst signing ever?”

That thread, from December, is still there, though the more recent comments are full of praise and warnings about making knee-jerk judgments.
