Don't think it would have done us much harm to bring on Brunt and Seriki earlier. Brunt has excellent vision, a great touch and can shoot from range. Newcastle were knackered at the end, but we were also needing some energy and attacking quality. Disappointed he didn't get on.

At Everton I could understand that we didn't make substitutions because everybody kept contributing. Tonight was different.

We aren't actually that much worse than Newcastle. The difference is they have 2 really top class players in Saint maximan and willock who were head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch and that's something we've not brought in over the last 2 years.

You need them in this league and if we ever get back we need to push the boat out and get a few even if it does mean breaking the wage structure.

Oh well. How daft do you look now toffees. Inept. Choose team

Bogle stood out for me. Passed back all the time. Where has that quick forward play and somtimes in on goal gone. Must have coached it out of him
Not just this, but jebbison kept making runs between their defenders and the players would ignore it and turn away to pass backwards. Never known a team coach players to not pass forward

Brewster needs some serious coaching in the summer. He looks totally fucking lost.

Jebbison has shown far more intelligence in the box in just two games that I’ve seen all season from Brewster.

Brewster just does not strike me as a natural goalscorer at all. He doesn’t seem to have the instinct to score goals on a regular basis. He’s scored goals before so maybe it’s confidence or just the way we play, but he doesn’t seem to be comfortable playing in our system at all.

So far, it would appear Wilder has really dropped the ball with this signing. Over paid for him massively imo.

No energy or desire to go for it tonight. Everything sideways and backwards at walking pace. Almost as if they are happy to only loose 1 0. Only Didsy showed any urgency but nobody around him interested. Like others have said new manager cannot come in quick enough because most of these need a rocket up them. The Everton game was obviously out of character. Hecky seems quite accepting of these kind of performances unfortunately.

Another pile of shit performance. No fucking idea at all going forward. McGoldrick is the only player we have who is remotely good enough for the Prem.
Sick and tired of the lot of them. New manager cannot come soon enough.
There can't be any other player that has missed and wasted as many clear open chances than McGoldrick has in the PL. He cost us this evening with that 7th minute miss. With that early goal Utd scored at Goodison Pk on Sunday it lifted the players and what a performance it turned out to be. Not this evening after that big miss by McGoldrick

I'm expecting Jebbo contract announcement & Jokanovic announcement before 5, No Lundstram at all in the squad, a start for another u23 and a solid 4-0 win (Jebbo brace, didzy wonder goal & a Robinson ultra-throw straight into the net), followed by an anti Bruce pitch invasion. Any less and I'm feeding my season ticket to the dog.

Open wide poochie

But SJ likes Norwood, I thought.
He just wouldn’t have him in the Premier League.
Bright guy.
Maybe he likes him but at least he spotted the limitations. And that was 3 years ago. Norwood has peaked hard. We should be looking for better

Definitely had our pants pulled down with his signing, but he can only do so much, we don’t create any chances!

It's been a long season and they all looked knackered but Fleck, Norwood and Bogle never broke sweat, walking pace at best. Jebbison was ineffectual but at least put the effort in.

back to walking football boring sideways backwards all the time overloading outwide tippy tappy with nobody the slightest bit interested in putting a cross in and we had loads of chances to do it very poor again hopefully wont have to watch this rubbish once jokanovic comes in

Whole midfield needs replacing

Fuck me at least he misses and is the top scorer.
Give the guy a break he’s the best footballer we have and his attitude and work rate for us was again head and shoulders above every other outfield player we had on the pitch.

Yeah I agree mate. We’re definitely not helping him out with the way we’ve played this season.

Just looks like he needs a bit of guidance with his movement. I think he’d have slotted in a lot more comfortably the way we were playing last season.

Pretty poor tonight, barring 1 or 2 players (Ramsdale and McGoldrick) we had very little quality.

We daren’t tackle any of their offensive players, it’s like when a full grown man plays football against toddlers and they can’t get the ball off him.

As good as Fleck and Norwood were the other day they were bad today. It really is painful at times

Stevens I think looked better than he has been (barring the Everton game), some of the things he tried actually went right.

Bogle was pretty crap.

Defence stood off too much.

Brewster?! What the fuck have we bought?

Obviously his confidence is rock bottom, but I think with the right service and players around him and McBurnie next season the goals should come, both proven at championship level.

Says it all when we were tippy tapping "Wilderball[TM Pommpey]" around the box the commentator says "Basham <right central defender>is screaming for a ball to come into the box at the back", yes Basham a defender.
