Fact is we are going into close season with no plan for next season. Players not knowing where they will be, and without the fitness coach or Sport science being applied to them ready for their pre season.

Im sorry, the whole thing is a fucking mess, and quite simply a shambles on and more so off the pitch.
We are going to drift into next season, drift through the transfer window and start next season with a coach who’s still finding his feet and getting to know the players he’s got. That in itself will rule us out of next seasons promotion race so that’ll be one of the parachute payment and seasons advantages wasted.

Im still actually fucking fuming that we can make such a fucking bollocks of this from the position we were in little over 12 months ago, a friggin joke club. And we are laughing at the pigs for being just as amateur!!

Have to disagree, I think it would be pointless hiring any fitness/performance or sports science coaches/specialists, the new manager will no doubt have his own idea's and men in mind

Latest I’ve seen is that the club won’t be put off by SJ’s current salary in Qatar which is reported to be £2.5m AFTER TAX

On that basis you could argue £4m it is

I am confident that we have know for a while who our new manager is to be. He is more than likely still employed and an agreement had been reached to keep Him in place until such time as his contract expires.
He will have identified his back room team and already have a watching brief over our current players. Be aware of who is likely to leave, how much money he has to spend and identified his targets to the board to enable bettis to sound out the relevant clubs

That’s my point! Managers bring their own team, and without a manager we are also missing a crucial part of their end of season assessments, pre season targets and prep for coming back.
Seeing them all training for a few weeks prior to them going is as crucial for the new manager as the back room staff they employ.

He stops getting that money in June, and he NEEDS a job in the UK before mid November or he loses his right to work here so I think we will have a surprisingly strong negotiating position

I don’t think it’s right to say we’re no further forward. They’ll have it down to a handful of candidates, all have gone through the due diligence and permit checks, now we just need to prioritise them and make offers.
Remember at least one of these guys still has this season at his current employer to finish so I’m not sure what else we could have done or what the benefit would be of announcing it early.

I think we may tap the loan market if we get him in as manager.
