right, each person is entitled to their own opinion, and i am fine with that. The purpose of this thread, is for people to offer a viable alternative and to offer a manager who we can afford, and will do a better job next season. I'm sick of people just constantly having a go at Adams, without looking at who is out there to replace him.
P.S Chris Hughton and Roberto Di Matteo are not realistic alternatives as they will be too expensive and will have much bigger and better offers coming in.
Have your say......
So (and to back up G2000) we can pick a new manager but neither of the above 2 (who are both out of work) because of better offers (from who by the way).
A couple I would hazard a guess at.
Paul Ince (zero compo and not big cost, young enough and tries to play proper football)
SOD, because he is obviously far better than the absolute bilge we have employed recently.
I would also take a pop at Alan Curbishley but would doubt he would go near the poison challice
Whats Gary Johnson up to these days?
Andy Scott until he went to Rotherham
Martin Allen until he went to Notts County
Isn't Steve McLaren out of work currently?
John Hughes (formerly of Hibs)
All or none may be better than what we have but what it proves is without actually looking too deep there were and are better managers than we have/have had. We have never selected Managers in a good way in my opinion. It always seems to be via a criteria of who can fight the best fire with a limited budget or who is cheap.
Also, we are so anti-football these days we always end up with some big boot merchent because they are seen as quick fixes. Why can't we employ someone who actually gets us playing football on the deck? Bolton did it and have turned themselves into a better club in 12 months.
We could have been the best possible club to manage but we have (inside 5 years) become one of the worst picks a manager could make.
