Mousset and Burke

Can't sleep so having a look at their performances and of the 29 games they've started between them for the club they've managed a sum total of 1 full 90 minutes.
Moose hasn't competed 90 mins in over 2 years now, get rid he's a disgrace

When he arrived he looked sharp and capable. But for the second part of the season he looked disinterested and overweight. This season for various reasons he hasn't contributed. I agree with you that he is talented. I am not sure he can turn it around. I am hoping we don't have another Roswell on our hands.
When he arrived he was more than a stone overweight? That season he had a patch of about six games where he looked superb, fast and a good finisher, but rarely managed 90 minutes. If we could get him fit and motivated, he’d be a real asset, personally I don't think that will ever happen, either at Bramall Lane or wherever else he ends up.

I don't think for Burke it's down to lack of fitness. He just hasn't started that many games and we've tended to be chasing every game we've played, so we've tended to change strikers in the vague hope of converting one of the chances that we aren't creating.
Burke is really explosive and built like a sprinter, so will no doubt fade quicker than most, but he's a physical specimen. I don't think his issue is fitness or commitment related, he's just surprisingly poor at kicking a football.
Surprised hes actually making a living out of playing football, when looking anything but.

By the look of your signature photo I would guess you know your way round Whitechapel.?
😀😀 Yes Big, done the whole Krays tour, been in The Blind Beggar, been on Vallance Road, I’ve also got the signature photo tattooed on my arm!! It is one of my main interests, read all the books, seen the films etc. I enjoy the QPR away day, if we can go next season, will have a few pints round the East End before, highly recommend it, some good old fashioned boozers.

Sounds good. Really enjoyed that Krays film, Legends, was it?

I can remember when he was seen as a wonder kid. RB Leipzig paid 13 million then West Brom paid 15million.

That’s where it ended.

Feel sorry for Mousset. He just looks so meek and overwhelmed so much of the time. I think it’s easy to forget that having the talent with your feet is only part of what you need - confidence, drive, determination and a thick skin are pretty vital too. If he starts the season and gets a few goals, he could do wonders.

totally different for Burke who is in shape and confident, just not very good at football.

Hardly matters. It’ll be McBurnie and Brewster up top anyway and so it should be at that level.

Moose get rid, if we can recoup half of what we spent

Burke keep without a shadow of doubt, if the new boss is a wingers man, Burke would be outstanding in the championship I reckon
Burke might look a lot better playing against weaker opposition.

Mousett has it all except the right attitude unfortunately and I suspect "the club" has had enough of his shit

Good point, man management is more important than ever now at the top level. The 'tough love' worked with Deano after the Liverpool mistake because it was objective and constructive criticism, along the lines 'If he wants to be Man Utd and England's No 1, he can't concede goals like that'. Fair argument and Deano responded in the right way.

But Moose is clearly more complicated and therefore needs handling differently. I accept knowsnowt comment fully but whilst a United player, on our books, we surely do everything humanly possible to extricate as much out of his talent as possible?

I remember the Arsenal game when he ran straight over to Wilder to celebrate and hug him. Wilder pushed him away on to the pitch, to get on with it, which I get but it's symbolic of the relationship really. Moose wanted 'soft love' not 'tough love'. It might be Moose is and always has been a lost cause but I can't help but think that the club are culpable to an extent too, in not maximising the asset.
Both sides of argument have merits - I just think - never mind what’s happened- how can we try. To maximise his assets and therefore his value in £ so that if so get rid it aint at a huge loss

I 99.9% sure hes actually only completed a full 90 in a professional game twice in his entire career.

I found it bizarre when CW said Burke was signed to play 'up top' (whatever that used to mean). He has never been a striker. Waste of a signing for me.

Mouss will likely go back overseas, but at least his goals helped secure our first season finish, so was a decent signing overall.

I am quite curious to see how he'll do at RWB (presuming he'll end up playing there against Arsenal)

His tackling is rubbish but then again so is Bogle's
