Finding it hard to look ahead positively. If we'd rather pay him £7m severance than give him the assurances he wants then that doesn't bode well and the names flying about aren't lifting the mood either.
Still be there in August if we're allowed though.

We don't want to be in a few years time languishing in the Championship or worse thinking "Did we really challenge for Europe and ended up 9th in the Premier League not so long ago?"
It'll be up there with those unfathomable things which are hard to believe really happened like Les Dennis getting Amanda Holden, Neil Morrissey pulling Rachel Weisz and he even did Holden the lucky so and so.

So do we want to be Les Dennis or Neil Morrissey?

It's shit, and I'm not interested in looking for somebody to blame.
I loved watching us in Div3 under Bassett and loved watching CWAK bring us up out of L1 and championship. Fuck the prem and var and all this shite. I want my Blades back.
Chris has given us some of the best times ever, from the best possible bloke.

Next season is next season and we go again, blades together, like before. Good times will come again.

Don't think there's many that haven't had Amanda Holden tbf.

I've head it in my head since the start of the year really that he'd probably leave at the end of season anyway. Still wrecked me that it's actually happened though.

My sentiment is not dissimilar to the last home game of 15/16, instead of Dean Hammond not facing the fans it’s our chairman.

The statement from Bettis rings quite untrue. I wonder how much Wilder’s silence has cost.

Coming back on the shared supporter train with half n half blades and pigs after they beat us at Wembley..

After that I can endure anything..

But I'm giving the games a break..

It's the whole lockdown, I'm not saying I'm depressed, but I probably am.. I've had enough and this just caps it off doesn't it..

We've made thier fucking season yet again!!

I think this BBC article is as likely an explanation as we'll get...

Maybe it couldn't have been avoided but here we had a manager who won the LMA only 2 seasons ago. I watched the Benjamin Bloom podcast on Friday and I agree with him, if you are a championship club on limited resources, who would you want to appoint to get you promoted?

After all the success we've had over the last 4 years, I think it's a disgrace that we've let Chris go, the first time that things have not gone well. Furthermore, because Chris was restricted in who he could sign because of our pitiful wage structure, it's still the owners fault.

I can understand people been upset but the way grown men and women are throwing their toys out of the pram over this is quite embarrassing. Sheffield United existed long before and it will exist long into the future. If we could all just be a bit more pragmatic we might not get as depressed as we are. It’s been a good ride. Nothing lasts forever. We were bottom of the league. These things happen.

End of an era but hopefully the start of a new one. Wilder is guaranteed legend status and will be revered long into the future but we have to move on. Let's face it, pain is hard wired into our DNA. We have already built up some immunity to it but not sure there's a vaccine for it yet!

Didn’t need the redundant “So” on the thread title. We’re not in California.
