This is entirely because of the board/manager relationship. Nothing to do with results, tactics, team selection. Simply because they have 2 differing plans.

This isn't the fans fault the vast majority were behind CW. The minority who weren't are entitled to voice their opinion and most critics were fully behind Chris just disagreed with certain selections/tactics which is part of being a fan. He's been hands down the best manager I've seen at the Lane, yes, he's made some questionable decisions this season but he's enough credit in the bank for me to have another go.

I'm gutted by the news but as far as fans go Wilder has had (as far as forums and social media can show) far more backing from the fans than anyone else in a similar position ever would. I'm one of his strongest supporters and even I feel a bit crazy trying to defend this season's results. He's also been spared the indignity of the crowd reaction some of these performances would've gotten.

I really don't think he's leaving because of the fans.
