We've been mostly shite at the top of the pitch this season but let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.
The fact is that we're going into next season with a very strong forward line on paper.
We have four proven Championship goalscorers in Sharp, McBurnie, McGoldrick and Brewster.
Granted, Sharp and McGoldrick are two years older than the last time we were there but the other two have age on their side.
Add Mousset (if we can get the bastard fit) and Burke into the bargain and you have the most potent attack I've ever seen us have in the second tier in my lifetime.
And yes, McBurnie has been poor this season but football history is littered with strikers who weren't good enough at the top level but could still rip it up in the leagues below. Most Championship clubs would still snatch you arm off to get him in their team. Luckily for us, nobody in the Premier League will want him and nobody in the Championship can afford him.
Brewster has been on a hiding to nothing trying to cut his teeth as a young lad in this awful team this season but I think he'll be a very important player for us next season. Nobody should judge him on what we've seen so far, the best is yet to come.
