Not sure about time left on contracts but don’t think any of these would be of interest to other clubs and so our squad would be: Johnny Ertl, Michael Doyle, Daniel Bogdanovic, Andy Taylor, Shane Lowry, Rob Kozluk, Neill Collins, David McAllister, George Long, Kingsley James, Jordan Chappell, Phil Roe, Matthew Lowton, Jordan Slew, Matty Harriott

An interesting post WW. Would you elaborate on where the above mentioned two might be going? How reliable is the information. I would have thought, given Ched's upturn in form that he would be vital in our fight against the drop. I have read conflicting reports on Jamie Ward. Shouild he stay or go in your opinion?

I am not ITK and so it is not reliable information. Rumours re Ward seem strong and he probably won't get a game if he's had a falling out with MA so could well be off if someone wants him on loan. To be honest, since injury he's not really done it for me and so I wouldn't be bothered if he went. Ched could well be ill but I just get the feeling that he might have been playing well for the last 5/6 games in the hope that someone would come in in the transfer window and take hime to a safe haven. There might have been interest but not enough money. If so, he could well be loaned out to reduce the wage bill and to make money available for MA's loans. I just think back to Beattie's 'illness' (as I have said elsewhere). I would like Ched to stay because he could maybe make a difference between now and the end of the season, but it would be the Blades way to off load him now.

How about Micky Adams?

only team i can think that might go for him if he is to go. he's not done enough to interest other teams but obviously has history with them.

We have got real problems up front but would either realy be missed?

I don't think Micky will be here next season if we go down. Some even think he might not be here for the rest of ths one after his interview today

What did he say?

After listening to RS interview he sounds like a man not knowing what to do next. Lots of pauses where he's trying to make decisions about what to say. But said

We never pick the right pass
Confidence is fragile
No magic pill
I need to go away and question myself

However, don't know if there was a longer interview but I also read that he'd said 'basically I don't know what to do'.

I don't blame MA because I don't think that anyone can get this lot to play and win. Conficence is gone and ultimately the loans all know that they will go back if we go down and some of the others know that due to our financial position they'll be sold and still be Championship players. It's not as if many of them will end up down the Job Shop come August. They'll still be on their £x000 per week.

What really pisses me off is when I read the My Week section in the programme. They do f all during the week except go shopping/go to the cinema/watch a dvd/visit a mate in Leeds/cook pasta. About two hours a day for four days seem to be spent training. Maybe that's why they're so crap.

Maybe we should make an indecent proposal for Blackwell to rescue us, for say, a £1m prize if he succeeds? :-)

There's a lot of players on that list on good money who may well not be that easy to off load anywhere.
If McCabe thinks he's got an outsize wage bill now, it's going to be comical for a 3rd division team.

4th division players on premiership wages.. 'w'ill be arreet wi arr micki.. ees a reet blade tha' knows'.. yeah right

If Ched Evans leaves before the end of the season it will signal that we have given up our fight (LOL) to stay in this division.

How cheap are hit-men compared to footballers wages? I'm sure there are some mercenaries that can be hired to, well, "take care of" our excess players if nobody wants them. Ryan France can go to Pedigree Petfoods in Melton Mowbray, Small Quinn can be used in one of those anger management videos in the "before" bit, and Monty will either stay on a wage cut or go to Barcelona.

Most of the rest can be assassinated.

If that is our squad, division 1 will be a division too high for us.

Bizarrely, the chap I sit next to thinks we've been so unlucky this year that we'll "definitely walk Div1" if we get relegated.

Interesting idea that. A club with no central defenders of its own, no pace, no guile, and no goals. It's a winning combo!

With that squad I do not forsee a quick return to the championship - even if we don't lose some of our remaining decent players. And if it's true that Adams has had enough (surely that can't be true already!!) then our list of possible managerial candidates becomes small. If Adams doesn't fancy it, who will? Hopefully, this is mere speculation and not close to the truth, because if it is we are clearly in a much worse position than most of us realise.

How is Dunc?

Good question actually. Where on earth has he gone?

Agree with that. If there's any truth in Adam's unhappiness, then the all the possible reasons for that (even lower budgets than expected, player unrest), make our plight more hopeless.

Hanging out on Bladesreunited, so perhaps this board just got a bit too much for him. Not much to be positive about these days, even for Dunc.

I hope to god Adams stays, from what I've seen I've actually quite liked - barring the results. I think the current plight can be laid squarely on the boards door and their total and sheer incompetence at times.

I would trust Micky to get us working following a good pre-season but whether he'll ever be able to shape his own squad with this board is another thing.

Yes, he posts quite regularly on Bladesreunited, and even his posts now talk of relegation as being a pretty realistic outcome to the season. Given his usual optimism, I would say that shows we really are in desperate trouble!
