What about De Gea’s full two handed push on Bryan before the ball is within range? I’d say that’s more of a foul, and happened before any contact from Billy. So good refereeing to allow the goal to stand rather than award a penalty.
 
Lets be fair. Both "goals" were piss poor efforts by the goalkeepers (Im not a Ramsdale knocker btw) de gea was not strong enough even with a little nudge from billy and ramsdale should have caught that ball even with slabhead smashing into him. Loved that dublin and keown reckoned it was ramsdale whacking into maguire!

You could argue both should have stood or both could have been disallowed. Anyway, we dont get to retrospectively change results, so f**k you Smeagol
 
As usual, because Man U lost, all networks are covering the incidents over and over again in an attempt to mitigate how this could have happened. If the roles had been reversed, there wouldn't have been a peep.

It's the same level of "big club" bias that enables them to shamelessly call them United even when they are playing another team called United.

Less than a year ago we scored a goal that the tech didn't pick up. I didn't see this level of forensic analysis or page on that incident.
 
when you watch closer from the goal line camera view, Billy sharp is actually falling into the keeper after a nudge from Matic, he seems to genuinely lose balance.

It is a borderline decision, you could argue Billy has intent there, i'm of the impression a little bit of both was at play, he probably made the best out of a shove from Matic, and too right, we should be playing for these kind of things.

i think the Maguire one at the other end is a foul, on replay you can see he has intent to barge into Ramsdale... i think his right arm extension just before he jumps says it all, he is preparing/looking for impact. No goal.
 
I listened to his comments on MOTD, and thought he was deluded. Then I watched the replays on MOTd with the pundits. Think he has a point, Billy shoves their Goalie and the Flappers drops a clanger.

I then thought how pissed off I felt when we got done at Villa with the Hawkeye goal, the confusion at home to Newcastle last season with the invisible flag, how disappointed I felt leaving Spurs last season after a goal being chalked off due to lunnys toe, the unfair sending off of Egan earlier this season. I considered this body iof evidence against all the late penalties Manchester United get, and I thought Tough shit Olly, football isn't fair (it should be), you've got on the wrong end of two for once so suck it up.

All 5 "experts" on BT, during and after the game, were saying Sharp's was probably a foul and Maguire's was probably not, then they go to the guest referee and he puts the lot of them back in their box by explaining why both decisions were correct.

Give over Maguire jumped into Ramsdale. You haven't been able to do that to a keeper since around 1960 don't let your dislike of Ramsdale cloud your judgement.

If you look at the incident again Magure has both arms wrapped around Jags, the last time I saw holding like that was when my Labrador cross raped that Poodle.

It's trite but Sharp used all his years of experience to make the most of the nudge he got from Matić and fall into De Gea. Had he not been pushed by Matić it would have probably been a foul.

Maguire challenged the keeper and didn't win the ball. It's soft but the laws as they are currently interpreted protect the goalkeepers.

He should be laying into his players imo. (he may have done this in private obviously). this is why I don't rate him as a manager. The defending for our second goal was criminal at any level.
For me, both decisions were correct. Maguire doesn't get his magnificent head within 2 feet of the ball and definitely impedes ramners. Of course Ramsdale could have avoided the situation by punching. The goal definitely falls into the seen them given category.
 
Neither was foul and Ole (who I don’t mind) looked a tad daft/childish In his reply to the question. I was more concerned with the foul on Fleck..it was dangerous, but nobody seemed bothered and I’m not sure if VAR even had a look...
 
IF we benefitted from two dodgy decisions - and I don't agree we did personally - but if we did, then its finally payback for Luton Shelton being taken out in our last but one PL game there.

It was a bad tackle but I wouldnt want to see a red for that? Had fleck been injured on the other hand because in recent games our Scottish maestro seems to be much more himself

Yes, Billy knew exactly what he was doing.

Bottom line is we were a bit fortunate but we worked hard to take advantage of it. They thought they just had to turn up and beat us. Man U have come back from going a goal behind many times this season and if they’d pulled their fingers out a bit they probably could have last night. They didn’t. They had 70 minutes after that goal to sort themselves out and turn it round. And the best part of 30 minutes after Harry’s goal. They should have pushed on and scored two more instead of fannying around in their box like they didn’t think we’d be able to score again. Shocking goal to concede.

Anyone that thinks this was a result of a Matic push is completely blinkered. It was a blatant foul by sharp.

Conclusion- 76 year old veteran striker Sharp is better at nudging keepers than England international, slab headed ,passenger ferry ,vastly over rated centre back Maguire.
Suck it up.

Sky just showed a new angle which actually shows he trips over someone's leg and falls in to De Gea. He loves to impede the keeper, and Matic doesn't push him at all, but the way he goes in to De Gea is definitely a fall.
