Man City beat us by one goal.
And played shit.
And Henderson saved a pen!
What are the chances of Ramsdale saving a pen!??
Be honest......., Henderson saved us points and instilled confidence, major loss, but to replace him with Ramsdale and Foderingham........that seems to have been the start of the avalanche.

"Miles better", no we weren't, we won by 1 goal, 1?

So what? Look at some of the results in the FA cup, in fact dont bother there is no point in conversing with you to be honest. Hopefully you find it that shit you won’t ever step foot in the ground again.

Was this you 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I know!, unbelievable isn't it.
And I will set foot in the ground again, as I have every season for the past 26yrs, I still say were currently as bad as I've seen us in comparison to the league were in.

Henderson doesn't play for us this season. A bit early to be pissed?

No he doesn't, were far worse off, but he did save a pen for us against Man Citeh didn't he.

No. It’s just about context. The OP said “Never seen us like this before”. If that means “In the last four years”, then it dilutes the angst somewhat.

And because I joined this forum in 2016, that means I started supporting United in 2016 then does it??

So by that logic, you started supporting the Blades in 2010 then?

Wasn't that bad ffs. We dominated the vast majority of the match and then certain players became ridiculously lazy and slack in the last 20.

We've been worse this season.... and not mentioning that fucking horror show against Barnet a couple of seasons ago. That shot from Brewster goes to either side of their keeper and we win by Lunstram's piss poor effort aswell midway through first half

Lundstram's piss poor effort midway through first half was unbelievable. It was begging to be smashed home that was

I deduced it from the fact that you said (after a win, no less) that you’ve never seen us like this. This season is shit, but we have been far, far worse than this - even in the last ten years.

We came less close than City v lg2, Brighton v lg1 and arguably Wolves v non lg to going out today. There have been a lot of problematic performances this season. Today is way way down the list.

Agree there.

Basing the performance off this season, we were good in areas. As a team that's spent 130m over two windows we were pretty gash.
130million in this league is peanuts!, Man City brought on a defender who cost them 62million alone ! They didn’t exactly smash their lower league opponents this evening but that’s the romance of the FA Cup.
UTB!

Come in mate. 130m is not peanuts by any standard. 130m on young promising talent is stupidity.

These days i'm more concerned about how wank we are going to be than how wank we were. Looking at that i'm confident we will be contenders for promotion

And yet, there shouldn't have ever been a shot to have in the first place. I'd prefer to trace it back to why there was a chance in the first place.

I've tried to stay out of the "Ramsdale" argument up to now but I'm sorry game after game he looks an absolute liability unfortunately.

At the start of the season I truly thought he'd probably attain maybe 70% if Hendo's level but he's not even anywhere near that.

Atrocious!

Where does this figure of 130m come from?

To my mind we have spent considerably less than that total in transfer fees (fees reported at the time as well) for the entire squad. Obviously what we have spent on wages over the last few years in another thing completely but we are I believe placed 20th in the PL table for wages paid out and some way behind the likes of Brighton and Burnley.

But back to transfer fees paid out. I get it at about £115m for the entire squad. It's a sizeable amount and more than we have ever spent before on the playing squad but not a great deal in this day and age and especially not in comparison to where we are competing.

Transfer fees spent on our front players are around just over £50m. Again its not insignificant, but when you compare that Man City regularly spend that on a single player.... Totals below:

Ramsdale £18.5m
Verrips FREE
Foderingham. FREE
Moore £0.5m
Eastwood FREE
Egan £4m
Ampadu LOAN
O'Connell £0.5m
Basham FREE
Jags FREE
Bryan FREE
Stevens FREE
Bogle/Lowe £8m
Robinson 0.5m
Baldock £0.5m
Berge £23m
Rodwell FREE
Fleck FREE
Lundstram £0.75m
Norwood £2m
Osborn £4.5m
Burke £4m (Robinson fee 7m but £3m offset in player swap)
McBurnie £18m
Brewster £20m (fee confirmed by CW)
Moose. £10m
McGoldrick FREE
Sharp £0.5m
