Disagree thought fleck had a good game lundstram going through the motions and well norwood is norwood not very good
You were watching a different game to me, Norwood was good- the pass for Billys goal was sublime, Lunny looked slow and cumbersome and Fleck looked lost. Of the 3 Norwood was out in front by miles.

And can’t run the line against a slow defende
The disallowed goal shows mentally how slow he is. Hes always trying to steal a yard and is offside often cos of this.

But that goal, he has nobody within 10 yards of him and hes pinching half a yard on the half way line.

Amateurish.

I haven't seen a more pathetic and timid midfield since the dynamic duo of Coutts and Hammond. Fleck, Lundstram AND Norwood should hang their heads in shame.
Lunny played well other than the cock up for their goal

That was horrible to watch for the most part. Fleck and especially Enda completely spent and that’s playing against a mid table L1 side. Three individual errors leading up to their goal. Plenty of other times that we were slack in possession leading to chances that would be buried in the Prem. Inexplicable that Ramsdale is still starting as he has completely lost all confidence and is a liability every time the ball is anywhere near him. If neither of the backup keepers are capable of playing then that’s just evidence of more appalling recruitment under Wilder.
Lundstram so wasteful and Norwood better but still lost the ball in dangerous areas. Midfield basically fucked.
Brewster another real worry as can’t seem to score against anybody and had several chances today again. Even Bash making more errors leading to goals.
We’re through and that’s obviously a positive but fuck me we made a hard watch of it.

It’s a concern that we’ve conceded 3 goals in 2 games against mid table league one opposition - who’ve only had about 4 chances combined...

But we dominated and are deservedly through!

Norwood was good enough today
In possession yes. Out of possession no.
His lack of tackling, closing down and ultimately the booking caused CWAK a necessity of changing the whole system - in case he was sent off, with Amps to midfield and Bryan to defence. This caused the wobble and allowed PAFC back in to the game.

Brewster had a good game, just needs that goal, he looks hungry and did the running, He’ll come good I’m confident of that.

Ramsdale on the other hand looked like he was shitting himself in the tunnel before the game....even the commentator mentioned he looked nervous. He needs a period out of the team, I noticed Verrips wasn’t even on the bench..mmmmm

Maybe it’s nowt to do with confidence reference Ramsdale maybe he’s just shite

This is exactly what happened to George Long, kept him in too long when he was shot confidence wise and it killed him for a long period afterwards!
Can see similar for Ramsdale
Ramsdale is George Long 2.0. What a waste of all that money. It really beggars belief.

Fleck was piss poor. Pulling out of challenges and going through the motions. The only time he got out of a canter was when he broke his neck to get on the scoresheet when Sharp was offside. Norwood was quality today, we went to pieces when he went off.

I agree with this, said that to my brother other week

would be surprised if in 3/4 years time hes playing for a decent size ex prem team in lower champ/league 1 (I don’t mean united either!)

I can’t wait to see this team against a championship side in the next round, it will give us all an idea of what to expect. To many in this team that are dropping clangers in possession and out of it.

We got the job done but was a game we lost control of in the last 20 when we should have really cruised to a comfortable, confidence building clean sheet. Up until then it was reminiscent of the League One days where we were able to do what we wanted and when with barely a threat on goal besides the one they should have scored with.

Crap defending and crap goalkeeping for their goal and we suddenly started to shit ourselves. Poor substitutions and game management

Maybe its handling different personalities.

Hendo is a massive personality, Ramsdale just looks so fucking fragile. He needs resting, as bad as I hear foderingham is, surely he can't be this bad.
Surely that's what management is about, knowing how to get the best out of people whether it be the clichéd arm around the shoulder or the balling out.

Foderingham impressed me in L1 for Swindon but not so in his friendlies and Cup game for us.

Not had a real chance to see what Verrips is about.

There was no chance of norwood getting a second yellow

It's about opinions mate I thought fleck was our most attacking midfielder linking with the forwards although he did fade second half looking more like his old self though

I dont know anything about Verrips but he comes with a decent reputation.

Honestly, I'd play moore before ramsdale

Ramsdale should have done better with the goal, but who the hell was marking the goalscorer? It looked like we had three or four players in the box and noone anywhere near him. That was at least as big an error as the missed save.

Absolutely correct mate

I hope Brewster and especially “Ramsdale” never play in the first team again absolute shite
Clown.

Brewster....if you can’t see the positives in terms of positioning, link up play, actually shooting from outside the area then there is no hope for you! He’s just trying too hard. You’re going to look a right tit when he starts banging them in.

Ramsdale....I have no defence!

It just shows how we all see the game differently. I thought Fleck was ok today, pushed forward and tried to link play with Stevens. Norwood did a few 'Hollywood' balls sideways but played a good pass for the goal. However I thought he was weak defensively and physically and didnt drive forward with the ball when he had space.

Dominated much of a game and workrate good against a Plymouth side who looked to have stage-fright. Could have easily had 4 goals first half and some woeful finishing let them off. Should have had a pen but VAR is ridiculous. We had far more time and space than usual and looked a much better team going forward for it. Much more lively and making more runs. However, Plymouth missed a sitter first half and looked dangerous on the few occasions they went forward, but were largely content to Potterball it around their own defence and then repeatedly give it away. I do fear for us next round on these kind of performances.

Ramsdale - 3 - Had little to do but looked like an accident waiting to happen when called upon. Poor for their goal and made a number of usual gaffs. I was surprised he started against a L1 team but our back-ups much be absolutely diabolical.
Bogle - 6 - Got forward a lot but final ball was lacking. Not a great amount to do in defence.
Bash - 5.5 - Awful for their goal and looked a bit arms and legs all game. Again, had little to do for large period and got forward but not with the normal intensity. Good header for our goal.
Egan - 6.5 - Very solid at the back and dealt with pretty much everything in the air. Largely redundant
Ampadu 5.5 - Little or no pressure on him but looked iffy on the few occasions they came forward
Stevens - 7 - Not much to do in defence and one of our best attacking players. Had a good shot and heavily involved in our best moves
Fleck - 6 - Better going forwards and contributed to a lot of our attacks. Not great on the few occasions they attacked and too easily beaten
Norwood - 5 - Had much more time than usual first half and was much better with his passing. Stroked the ball around confidentially and great pass for our second. Shambolic defensively, had to commit his usual yellow card foul and we looked fragile through the middle. He is a much better attacking player with more time but he's lost any defensive capabilities
Lundstram - 5 - Good first half. Always wanted the ball and kept moving. He looks for the easy option almost every time though and never drives forward. Got sloppier and sloppier as the game went on and that dreadful foul near the end summed his second half up
Sharp - 7 - Heavily involved and looked dangerous. Scored 1 and created 1. Could have had more. Very good movement and shows he's still dangerous against lower league defences.
Brewster - 5 - Might be harsh on the lad and he never stopped making runs or tracking back but his finishing was pub league standard. Should have easily scored a hattrick but everything is wide or straight at the keeper. Desperately needs one to go in off his arse. You can see how hard he's trying, probably too hard, but it's just not going for him this season.

Subs

Baldock - 5.5 - Didn't do much going forward and not great at the back
Bryan - 6 - Didn't have a lot to do and did it ok
Burke - 6 - Looked dangerous with his pace and a decent shot (which was straight at the keeper) but also a bit sloppy at times and a couple of bad decisions
McGoldrick - Not really involved

Wilder - 6 - Set them up well and sent out a near first team. He looked increasingly frustrated towards the end as we made heavy weather of it. Loses a point for taunting us with the prospect or Rodwell but then bringing on Bryan instead.

Plymouth - Potterballed it around their own defence like Kamikaze pilots on overtime. Looked dangerous on the few occasions they actually showed ambition. I'm shocked they get away with that defending in the league. Nigel Adkins would be proud.
