Alioski did same thing against Crawley got the ball but followed through and got the player. Obviously no VAR but only a free kick.

Only thing I can think is Lundstram was moving quicker for one and secondly the guy pulled out of the tackle. Contact was very similar.

Agree...both were 50/50 decisions. Some refs give them...some don’t.
It’s one of them....using the spirit of the law both were not a pen.....being a jobsworth and using the letter of the law both were/ are pens.
I think a lot is down to how loud the fouled player squeals and whether there are fans in the stadium.
