Ask me about Updog...
At the moment I'd be happy if we had reason to care on the final day of the season...Would you be saying that if they were playing a Relegation rival of ours on the final day of the season.

Why? Surely that’s the point of regular testing. So you can isolate the players who are positive.
Of course it is. The FA are doing more than most employers to keep them safe. Twice a week testing of all players and staff, and strict rules. You don’t get that if you are a bus driver or on the tills in Tesco do you? Interesting to see the lack of hugging and handshakes in the FA cup games tonight. Is long covid not a factor? Some players already suffering with this so how can the FA keep them safe?

Were you saying that last year when we were challenging for Europe?Point is the virus is out of control no matter who you are and no matter how many times you have been tested. Players and staff health is at risk and already proven. All sports needs suspending.
I sincerely hope you are wrong. I don't see why, after the country has been vaccinated and we are on top of any required annual boosters, that football (or any other event with mass gatherings) cannot return to normal. While the risk may not go away, if the risk is very low due to vaccines, it should be accepted by society, as he alluded to.

Haha. Ok.No but the situation with Covid is far worse and far earlier in the season.
What about carrying on with twice weekly testing and players sticking to the rules? That seems like it might just be another viable option? The season has to be null and voided, there is no other viable option.
How’s it viable when it’s not working? What about carrying on with twice weekly testing and players sticking to the rules? That seems like it might just be another viable option?
You’re right, we are going down this time.No but the situation with Covid is far worse and far earlier in the season.
What rivals?Would you be saying that if they were playing a Relegation rival of ours on the final day of the season.
Yeh ... of courseNo but the situation with Covid is far worse and far earlier in the season.
Absolutely. What about carrying on with twice weekly testing and players sticking to the rules? That seems like it might just be another viable option?
Chorley need kicking out of the cup then.Absolutely.
As long as there are consequences for players breaching the rules.
And I'm not taking about fines, I'm talking about long bans or points deductions.
Footballers are in an exceptionally privileged position to even be able to play at the moment, they need to start acting like it.
Have their players breached the rules???Chorley need kicking out of the cup then.
“The time spent spent in dressing room areas by athletes/teams/staff should be preferably avoided, but if not avoidable then minimised with strict social distancing.”Have their players breached the rules???

They won’t though. Football is basically acting as if it is exempt from anything Covid. Like I said before there is no reason that football shouldn’t carry on - if they follow the rules.Ah, I see.
They should certainly face a punishment. Long bans or points deductions as I said.
Beginning of the end
I thought it was 75% but I stand corrected. Either way if it’s cancelled anytime soon we stay up.It's within football's own rules that two thirds of the season must be completed to award final placings so 25 26 minimum
If it goes before 20 games has to be voided like all the amateur leagues were last ssason
