Who are the magnificent 7 then currently on our books?

I'd hop that next season once we are back in the Championship, we have Ramsdale, and either Verrips or a new elder more experienced keeper instead, fighting for that number 1 jersey.
Ramsdale, Verrips, Moore, Foderingham
Eastwood & Dewhurst are out on loan
Amissah has been ever present for the U23s this season
Josh Chapman is normally the U18 keeper. With Hiddleston & Hampshaw also getting games.

Well I dont know enough about the young lads on our books but it us clear that we need to be having a cull on the number we have if only to clear a potential path for the young lads. We've collected far too many keepers.

I'd suggest Moore and Foderingham should be shown the door in the summer whilst a decision is made on both Eastwood and Dewhurst. Even if we let the latter 2 go, surely we can put a buy back clause in the contracts if we sell them cheapish?

The one obvious negative of today’s win at Bristol Rovers. Clumsy, lacks confidence and poor kicking. Surely it’s time to give Verrips a chance. Ramsdale makes our defence nervous even against lower league opposition
It's the defence making Ramsdale nervous this season. If he was playing behind last season's defending it would probably be different.

Personally I think too many are being overly harsh on Ramsdale but more to the point, as we've not seen Verrips bar a short stint in 1 game, how does anyone know he's any better?

We've seen a bit of evidence of Foderingham in a Blades shirt which wasn't good IMHO.

Sorry guys........To get Ramsdale out of side, you’ll have to move CW on first.
Regarding the defence not having confidence in the keeper is absolutely bollocks. They’ve offered the keeper very little or no protection all season. The game against BR, Bash didn’t jump and gave their goal scorer a completely free header, so wheres the campaign to get him out of the side.

All you have to look at is the difference since Henderson left.
Utd have always had a great no1
Ramsdale is no where near good enough.

Our defence makes Rammers nervous.
And Vice Versa, they need to communicate more. He takes steps forward to come for a cross then goes back, it leads to confusion and mistakes on both party's.
Work needs doing on the training ground between keeper and defence, better communication leads to better decisions, leads to less mistakes being made by both Keeper and defence.

Eastwood will be gone come the summer he was on a season long loan with an option to buy this year pre injury he’s older than Henderson and Ramsdale and needs to go and forge a career for himself.

When Moore is back fit one of the senior boys will be moved on I’d prefer it to be either verrips or Foderingham as Moore has previously shown he’s a very capable deputy in the champ.

dewhurst is highly rated and an England age group keeper I’d expect him to be loaned out again in search of first team experience. We might look to do the same with amissah I don’t know. The really young lads will go through the process some earning deals others not.

I see a lot of people say Ramsdale can be a great keeper, but I just wonder on what basis? What have people seen to support this view? I'm sure he can be better than he currently is, but he's currently an accident waiting to happen. He's too short, doesn't get anywhere near shots that most other PL keepers either save or come closer. Their first today for example, not saying most keepers would have saved it but most would have gotten a lot closer than he did.

He's nervous, is making mistakes, errors of judgement (see effort on left wing today), kicking is poor and the most routine of catches seem like an effort, some of which take 2 attempts. That isn't PL standard goalkeeping I'm afraid.

He's 1.8 metres or 6'2" in old money

Yeah, on the short side of things when it comes to average PL goalkeeper heights. Wouldn't matter so much if his 'spring' was better.

The point I was making about height also relates to how imposing he is, or isn't. Some keepers look massive stood next to other players, look commanding. He looks a little bit like a skinny kid playing men's football. Probably a bit to do with current form and confidence.

How can you say Ramsdale was instrumental in Bournemouth's relegation! Then say you havnt got the stats to back it up!! You thick fking idiot!! Back up what you post or fuck off!!
Are you honestly saying that he wasn’t? Explain to me how he couldn’t have been clapper. If you want to discuss this further we’ll see who’s a ‘thick fuckin idiot’ PM me.

Neither of the goals yesterday were his fault, again. So what’s the point of your posts on the subject?
They might not have been his fault, but he could have done better with both. The first he got nowhere near, the 2nd drops to their player 2 yards out in the middle of the goal but he flops sideways instead of forwards to catch the ball.

Verrips obviously isn't very good. At no point did we consider him starting. We spent the majority of our budget (pre Brewster panic) on a keeper despite lots of other needs

If Ramsdale cost £1.8 million would he still start?

I would guess not, and would think that less people would want him to, which is a story in itself.

If Wilder dropped him it would be admitting he bought a dud and made a mistake so he'll never do it no matter what.

We are stuck with a mediocre (at best) keeper for the next 5-10 years.

Based on?

It's a guess.

Highly expensive players are rarely dropped. However Lampard dropped Kepa and it paid great dividends and think we should do the same.
Realistically we don’t have any depth at goalkeeper to challenge him. Foderingham looked a complete liability preseason and wasn’t particularly rated by rangers fans and was brought in for emergency cover/a veteran presence because of Moore’s injury imo. Verrips is behind Foderingham in the pecking order which says everything about where he’s at. If Ramsdale cost 50p or 50 million baring injury there’s very little chance of him losing the shirt whilst ever Moore is still injured.

That will be your opinion again then!
One of your many opinions that you constantly attempt to force on everyonelse.
If you can honestly say Henderson wouldn't have done better with both the goals, then maybe you'll have a point, but if you can say that then I wouldn't believe you anyway.

I have been in the Ramsdale will come good camp but after yesterday I am starting to wonder. Every game he drops a catch, in the Premier league his challenge on the attacker is a penalty given away and just WTF was he doing chasing a ball on the touchline near the halfway line, it really was schoolboy stuff although he can't be held at fault for the goals that is just ridiculous.

Christ, ramsdale could have done better one both goals...

How about point the finger of blame at our headless defenders?

To give him grief for the first is bad enough, but the second is laughable.

And Bertie Mee are you more intelligent in pm's or summat ?
