Your absolutely correct DB. Flapper Ramsdale is guaranteed to have at least one calamity every game - sometimes he gets away with it sometimes he doesn’t. Rammel Ramsdale does not know how to command his box. When he does decide to come it’s usually a car crash. He can save the odd shot granted but your bang on his positional sense is non existent - he is always too far off his line. I have sat back and tried, tried & tried to exercise some patience praying the fella is going to come good. The business in the first place was tough enough to take - selling him for £1m and then re-signing him for £18m but i laid my faith in that CW knew what he was doing now I think they made a mistake. There maybe a keeper in there but I haven’t, apart from the odd couple couple of decent saves seen evidence of this yet. I am sorry to say this but i do not believe that Sheffield United will progress with AR between the sticks in his current form. He was instrumental in Bournemouth’s relegation (not sure of the stats but I can pretty much guess them) just like he will be instrumental in ours. We need to do one of two things. We can cut our losses and sell for a vastly reduced price or we bring somebody else in as number 1 and keep him for development. As it stands AR is not PL quality at the moment and that situation is not going to change anytime soon. However there could be a get out for him. If we are relegated and it looks highly likely that we will be then this could be his lifeline. He will have a complete season (hopefully we go straight back up) to develop further and rebuild his confidence then hopefully we will have him as our number 1 for 2022/2023 season. I really hope this happens for him and for us but for now it is patently obvious he just isn’t good enough.
