Yes.we may need everyone whos willing to stay.think most of our players will excel in the championship.give jags and billy some sort of role other than playing

Hi Stegosaurus here,

The sort of thread I enjoy. One where I can have a moan.

Sell the following

Ramsdale - liability, but with him being young and English we could get our money back for him.
Berge - Doesn't fit out system, could get a nice 25-30 million
Mousset - Lazy. He's been with the club over a year and is still out shape. Fuck off.
Lundtsram - Doesn't want to be here
Brewster - Clearly didn't want to join. Doesn't want to be here. Puts zero effort in.
Rodwell - Pointless having him
Lowe - League 1
Robinson - League 1
Jagielka - Past it. Give him a coaching role.

Drop to squad-player level but keep as backup

Enda -- Gotta see about replacing him.
Norwood - Seems shit now. See if we can get a replacement.
Fleck - Ditto

A lot of people recently have been saying we need to get rid of Fleck and Norwood because they're finished. What utter nonsense that is, they've only started 9 and 6 games respectively this season! Your legs don't go and you don't just turn shit at 29 years old, when you're around your prime physically. Even in the very rare instances where that might happen, it definitely doesn't happen to a Premier League team's main two central midfielders at the exact same time.

They're just not playing very well and are low on confidence, like the rest of the squad. They'll be absolutely fine, especially if we go down.

Until we have seen the players you have ditched play again in the Championship we cannot possibly know how good or bad they might be

Working class Brighton and Fulham figured out Norwood wasn't good enough for the premier league 3 and 2 years ago respectively. It remains to be seen whether he is at championship level 2 years on from when we were promoted

Sheffield Utd figured out he was good enough and he captained them to 9th in the league ,higher than Brighton and Fulham have been in the last 10 years.

It does remain to be seen, but I'd say with 3 years more experience and two of those in the Premier League, still only just turned 30, there's more chance of him being better than when we signed him, rather than finished.

Sitwell looks like Sheffield United kept him a season too long. He's just not mobile enough anymore, players go past him too easy and he cant carry the ball forward.

Ps when the facts change i change my mind

Yes but his confidence will be shot to bits next season, still got caught out in the championship too. Knowing he’s not good enough for the Prem may perhaps affect his performances.

If you want Norwood to be a midfield cruncher like Hockey or a dribbler it aint going to happen ,let other players do that and let him do what he is very good at.

Why on earth anyone thinks we should get rid of McBurnie I don't know. We signed a man with an exceptional record in the Championship, in the hope he'd be capable of making the step up. Clearly he's struggled to do that, but now we're heading back to his level, we should off load him (no doubt at a big loss).
Makes absolutely zero sense.
Unless of course you are part of the McBurnie scapegoat club.

Get all the players in the dressing room, stare into the whites of their eyes to see who's up to the fight and decide from there.

The ones who stare into space or look sheepishly at their feet tell them their P45's in the office.

We go back to how were over the past 4 seasons.

May I throw a spanner in the works on this one? As the virus in now more rampant then ever and the 'stay at home' rules become even more strict, I could see that the EPL and or the EFL having no choice but to void the season as there is quite a few games left before the supposed three quarters of the season cut off agreement.
Just suppose this will happen and we find ourselves remaining in the Premier League for the 21/22 season (not that we deserve it). What happens then with the recruitment campaign? We obviously require a complete new midfield, but where will the money come from? Do we stick or twist with the defence? Same applies regarding the strikers. We could find ourselves in a complete mess if this scenario comes about without mega investment as I doubt the Prince will have had the time to secure outside help to launch another Premier foothold.

He's averaged more than 1 in 2 in the championship, so clearly not that ropey. Scored past us a couple of times too.
To not want him in the Championship is mad.
Take five minutes to watch his goal highlights for both Swansea and Barnsley then come back and say what a nailed on goalscorer this lad will be in the Championship.

Scored 9 in 15?? As well for Barnsley, including one where he dribbled from the edge of his own area near enough!
This did not happen. (I've just watched that goal).

I'm not saying get rid of McBurnie as he has more value to us than we could ever recoup but he has one strength; heading a ball that is dropped onto his head.

think the odds on norwood being good enough for the championship are 50-50 but wouldnt suprise me if he was moved on as for mcburnie im not a fan i must admit wish he would just play his game instead of constantly whingeing at the ref and wanting a fight with opponents so i will reserve judgement on him till hes playing at his level again hes certainly not a premier league striker imo

Just watched it back, I remembered it better than it was!

still 31 goals in 59 championship games with 4 assists. Should suggest he can score goals at the championship level, don’t see logic in letting him go

I was wondering whether McBurnie would make a better no.10; he'd be around the box for crosses, can hold the ball up, move it around and pass reasonably well. He wouldn't be able to beat a man like Duffy but it may be the way to get the best out of him.
