Just thinking with all that’s going on with corona virus, still no fans at BDTBL, poor form and general ill feeling I reckon that August 2021/22 season will turn this sorry state of affairs around.

Yep we might be in the Championship but we will do well. We will have fans back in
and I’m sure it will kickstart something good.

I’ve been saying Wilder should go but after a good think I feel the Blades badluck has really been put into practice. Who’d have thought we’d end up in a bloody pandemic in our first season after all the years out of the top league.
Wilder deserves every chance to go again and I’m sure he will get us back up again.

Come on you Blades!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with your sentiments but I don't think there's any guarantee of fans back in the ground by August irrespective of how fast they manage to roll out the vaccine. There's already talk of further lockdown's next December. I hope you're right though.

1heres 12000 pharmacies that can open 24 hours a day doing vaccination thats been doing flu jabs
if they can do 400 a day which they do in normal hours with the flu jab thats nearly half a million a day in just those outlets
if they open 24 hours thats the pharmacies doing a million a day

we should do 2m a day within a month with all the hospitals surgeries and jab sites open

In the 2019/20 flu campaign, around 15.3m vaccinations were administered to eligible groups,
and thats without any urgency

Why can't they just do vaccines over the internet, that's how the virus turned up.

We will definitely be back in at least tier 1 or 2 by August in Sheffield which will mean we get some fans in for at least the first couple of months of the season.

Unlike the flu jab this jab requires the recipient to remain 20 minutes before leaving so that’s going to impact on your projections flu jab in stab out 2 minutes that’s 30 an hour the COVID maybe 6 an hour due to people gathering but social distancing then consider a 3 /4 week period before immunity kicks in - not quite so simple is it

There’s no issue with administering it...the problem is we don’t have enough of it and there is a global shortage of vials (glass containers)

What about the fact that the Pfizer vaccine needs to be stored at -70 degrees, that will require specialist equipment pharmacy's don't have.

The answer is simple, open all the pub's, pour the vaccine into a pint of beer, everyone clear in 3 weeks 😉

Here is a prediction website https://www.omnicalculator.com/health/vaccine-queue-uk
enter your age and any conditions etc and it will tell you roughly when to expect to have received your second jab. I’m 61 and it is saying August. So, for those of you in your 30’s and 40’s it is unlikely to be this year.

Sorry to be the chip piss soaker but don't get your hopes up about anything like notable crowds next season.

People also need to accept that there has been a huge shift in many people's sense of perspective. Risks that were acceptable or not even considered will in future be unacceptable to quite a few people.

I remember thinking this in 1994 and 2007.

Three quid your match vaccine, match vaccines three quid.

Viruses mutate so they alter the flu vaccine every year.
They started tracking Flu in 2003. Flu vaccine effectiveness ranging from a low of 10% in 2004-05 to a high of 60% in 2010-11.
This year it is 46% effective. We will just have to get used to the corona virus. The good thing is the corona virus seems to have disappeared the flu virus.

Anyone under 50 with no serious underlying conditions isn't projected to ger the vaccine until 2022 so there's no chance fans will be back in full next season.

If they're not opening these Nightingale Hospitals for COVID patients they could open them up a walk in centre (invite only) so you can receive your vaccination. If that's a non-starter, how about setting up a walk-in centre similar to the COVID testing sites to vaccinate people. Israel are doing this and are leading the way in number of people vaccinated.

It really feels like our Government is so far off the pace when it comes to decisions, it's frightening. I also read that they won't be vaccinating people on a Sunday, I really hope that was a BS story to wind people up.

I love your optimism, you fail however to factor in the complete fuckwits who are running the country and are in charge of this.....

We only have to get the 15m most at risk done to stop 95 per cent of the fatalities.
The health service is in charge of the vaccination . As it is with the flu jabs
Calling the NHS fuckwits is a bit harsh
All down to the drug companies supplying the order

The NHS aren't running the country, they are delivering the vaccine as that's their job, they'll do it however the Government instructs them to.
