If Bogle had done that he'd have looked a right twat. And VAR would have overturned the red and gave a yellow card because that's all it was worth at most.

No chance. A hand in the face or round the neck is a red these days, but that was more like a pat on the back of the head. If the ref had fallen for it VAR would have overturned it anyway. We'd have been fuming if our player had got a red for that.

Call me old-fashioned but I still don’t understand how playing the ball can result in a red card and yet direct contact in the same area of the leg isn’t. I also don’t understand why neither decision seemed to be reviewed by VAR, especially the Zaha incident which the ref clearly didn’t see.

If you still call playing the ref and the rules cheating, then have a look at yourselves, people complain at grealish winning 60 free kicks.. The refs are baught into it.. He knows it... Imagine the set pieces where we are then a threat..

I've got no problems with winning nasty and not being nice, but the rolling around on the floor and the fact it's unpunished, and never called out as outright cheating, is right up there as one of the worst things wrong with modern football. If you want to play in the PL you have to act like them there is no reward from the refs for being honest. If you don't go down and raise your arms after the fact they just smile at you. As if saying thanks that just saved me from making a decision.
