1979................ over 40 years ago and i can still see the look on the piggy twats faces.

No matter how badly we are doing, as long as loony tunes owns them, they will never do any better.

We've gone from receiving global plaudits, to being a global embarrassment, but not one, not one, Pig that I know has piped up in recent weeks. To the contrary, when I bring it up in conversation, all I get is "well I know who's position I'd rather be in". They are genuinely shitting it about going back to league 1 with Chanser at the helm.

If they stay up, I expect a flurry of grunting all summer long though.

I had one giving me gip in a restaurant last summer about Boxing Day 1979, looked about 22, I said "titanic 1912....." Couldn't believe how quickly it hit the spot with him and he realised how pathetic he looked. Looked like he was born around late 1990s. Like me gloating about a victory that happened in 1934.

Just remind the fuckers that we hold the record for the biggest derby victory ..... 7-3 , 8 Sept 1951. You know, just ask them how far back they want to go.

Must admit, properly avenging boxing day is something that I hope to see before I die. We'd better up though cos I haven't got too many years left 😬

If completely humiliating them on Bouncing Day on their own shit tip doesn’t count as properly avenging it ,I don’t know what will .

It gave me far more satisfaction than the 7-3 win since at that time , (a) their fans were not as obnoxious as they are now and (b) it came as no great surprise since we had a forward line of prolific goal scorers orchestrated by a certain James Hagan . :)

Exactly
United fans are as bad as them for keeping the Boxing Day thing alive.

Some won't believe we've evened the score until we win 5-0, on a boxing day, with an 11.00 kick off, at Hillsborough with 49,309 or whatever it was in attendance.

7-3 from a few years prior to that doesn't matter, apparently 30 years ago when it was mentioned it was too long ago to be relevant, but somehow nowadays, Boxing Day 41 years ago isn't.

sorry mate but i wasnt alive for the 7-3 but i was at pigsboro for the thrashing we got when top of the league. that game ruined my christmas like no other could and in nearly 50 years of watching the blades that is the most embarrassing

Bouncing Day was good! But I'm greedy, I want more. We've had a few chances to totally annihilate them over the past 20 years and we've not taken any of them. Those two nil-nils at the Lane in the Championship were big disappointments. I want to smash the fuckers 5 or 6 - 0. ⚔️ ⚔️

Agree entirely . What the fuck are we doing singing about being beaten by them over 40 years ago but having no song to celebrate our trashing of them on that wonderful day ?

It’s not too late ......... :)

There was numerous games at the sty when Colin was in charge when 4 or 5-0 wins would not have been an injustice, the 0-0, the 0-2 defeat (how we lost when we battered them I will never know) and the 2-1 win when Akinbiyi missed a hatful.
