You need to realise that it is far too early to make a judgement about this seasonDo you need to be a professional footballer to work out that being bottom of the league after 9 matches with only 1 point is shit?

Who’d have thought telling our players they’re worthless in comparison to their immortal counterparts would be a flawed strategy?!Tell the world you're miles behind everyone you're playing against and maybe your players start to believe it?
if he isnt hes very close to it west yorks imho and i dont think he would laugh at the suggestion hes under immense pressure at the minute but for what its worth even if the worst happens i really hope the prince sticks with him utb ftoIt’s such a cliché to say that he is starting to look like a broken man. And I don’t think it’s got any truth in it.
He looks defensive to me and who wouldn’t having to face the usual inane questions after a really poor run? But certainly not broken. I think he’d laugh at the suggestion.
The Prince might not have a choice since Chris has blown circa £130mil
He’s that bad our manager it makes you wonder how on earth he got us promoted twice! Put it down to luck! Wilder can’t buy strikers? Shakes my head in disbelief!
Eddie Howe
nevertheless less, still correct.Classy reply. Well thought through
Think we should have been smart enough to have done a Southampton when they sacked the man that took them to the Premier League and got somebody in to take us to the next level
Well at the moment he is in danger of getting the lowest points ever. Main reason lack of goals. All the pundits say this. Maybe they no f.a. about football too eh?
Everyone can see at the moment McBurnie is shit. Well except those who are so blind to the obvious that frankly they are stupid. Wilder has lost the plot, no fighting spirit at all. His interviews are pants no inspiration whatsoever. Perhaps he has convinced his players that they can't compete anymore.
I think perhaps IF he can get JOC back at New Year and IF some fans come back he might salvage something. At the moment Championship we're coming back!
The most points we'll get now is 31 - as we cant score goals. Change the goalscoring and there is a remote chance.
If any other manager was in charge with the one point and pathetic goal scoring record we have to date you'd be calling for his head. You do know Wilders record this season is worse than Weir's dont you?Wilders lost the plotthink it’s more like a small portion of our fan base that’s lost the plot! Be careful what you wish for fella!
Howe is still a cracking manager. There's an art in knowing when to leave a football club, protect your legacy and embrace a new challengeWould that be Eddie Howe who got a team including Callum Wilson, Josh King, David Brooks, Ryan Fraser, Phil Billing, Chris Mepham et al relegated![]()
How can anyone reply to this? It’s stuff like this that makes people lose their heads at posters! You know what pal crack on if these are your views there is no point even replying,If any other manager was in charge with the one point and pathetic goal scoring record we have to date you'd be calling for his head. Has the consequences of relegaton entered your head? How can anyone reply to this? It’s stuff like this that makes people lose their heads at posters! You know what pal crack on if these are your views there is no point even replying,
At least his team could score goals and they only just got relegated. At this rate we wont get anywhere near their points total. Are you for real?
What legacy would that be? Taking a comfortably mid table squad and getting them relegated!
Also not forgetting when he decided he needed a new challenge and uprooted to Burnley. How did that go???
Look, if Wilder decided to walk (not get sacked) there would be far worse options out there but if you think he's the saviour, and would do better than CW, with this squad then I'm sorry but you're deluded.
Sorry Chris the Blade but you are so far off course with your comment you are likely to get lost. CWAK have done sufficiently well over the past 4 years that they have EARNED the right to stay even if we go down. Let’s be honest, SUFC have changed leadership too many times in the past. The obvious qualities that CWAK has, along with his drive and determination will stand th club in good stead, in my opinion. If we do go down (and that is by no means a given) CWAK is best placed to bring us back up. Keep the faith my friend.he's not bigger than the club. If things haven't improved by New Year's Day then he has to go. I hope it doesn't come to that.
I can’t actually work out if you are just taking the piss or being serious! I contemplated relegation before a ball had been kicked because our manager has worked wonders with these players and the lack of crowds has killed us.Has the consequences of relegaton entered your head?
I am not advocating his sacking. I am merely pointing out the following.I can’t actually work out if you are just taking the piss or being serious! I contemplated relegation before a ball had been kicked because our manager has worked wonders with these players and the lack of crowds has killed us.
This season was always going to be incredibly tough! But if we go down I would sooner have one of the top managers in this country there to try and take us back up! Something he has already done once in remarkable circumstances. Look you have your view I disagree with it with every ounce of my being. I think sacking this manager would be a complete and utter disaster and would set us back massively. If and it still is an if we go down then the best man for Sheffield United football club is Chris Wilder that my friend is not even an argument.
Hi all, it’s my first time writing on here, so be nice! I find it extremely worrying how lots of people seem to doubt our messiah. The man is a blades living legend. Even if we go down. Imagine how good we would be next year! He’s proved himself to us....can we not do the same to him??
football is a crazy business game. I choose game, not business! The football is good, the atmosphere is unlike anything I have seen in my 20 years of attending.
I ask one question, if the wallies get their way and did the “stupid”...how many clubs in the championship break the bank for him??? Yep...pretty much all of them!
The world is bonkers at the minute, please don’t add to it...
Hi, What does this mean?
Most players would be itching to go? Based on what? Yep that’s right based on you thinking you know when really you haven’t got a clue what players would want to stay or go! Don’t forget most of these players signed new contracts not so long ago that tells me they love playing for this manager but I’m sure you know different!I am not advocating his sacking. I am merely pointing out the following.
1. We are woeful at scoring goals. McBurnie is useless and a waste of money. Brewster isn't getting a look in. And Wilders striker purchases look like a complete spunking of dosh - McB, Burke (fast but so was Forest Gump), Brewster and Mousset.
2. No crowds gives no encouragement. This is a team that thrives on energy. There isnt any.
3. Wilders comments. Only thing missing is the white flag. Last year 'we've not come here just to get on a bus and exchange shirts'. This year 'look Sheffield United shouldn't be here, we cant compete with these world class players' Yeah you can really go into battle with those sentiments.
4. If we went down the vast majority of players would be itching to go so CW has to build a whole new team from scratch. Nah two or three seasons to do that.
So thanks for the dialogue and being respectful. Remember some of us have seen it all before!
I think fail to win at West Brom and relegation is a cert.
Wowsers if you have seen it all before you must have been on the edge of the viaduct in league one! I don’t believe any supporter who went to Bury away on that Tuesday night under Adkins would be wanting wilder out!I am not advocating his sacking. I am merely pointing out the following.

WOW. Out of interest how long would you give the new manager? For Wilder who has achieved miracles over 4 years it seems 9 games is the limit. 12 if you're being extra silly and including last season. By that logic I reckon 5 games is more than enough for the new manager to be judged and turned on?If any other manager was in charge with the one point and pathetic goal scoring record we have to date you'd be calling for his head. Failing to win one match in November makes relegation a cert?I am not advocating his sacking. I am merely pointing out the following.

Yep mate stood on the Kop that night we effectively were relegated out of the top two leagues for the first time in our history. What an insult that was.Wowsers if you have seen it all before you must have been on the edge of the viaduct in league one! I don’t believe any supporter who went to Bury away on that Tuesday night under Adkins would be wanting wilder out!
