29 league games left to play. Only 1 win away from 4th bottom.
Nor should you.

Only outclassed once.

We are low on confidence and seem unable to score, but if we a nick a win , hopefully next week - it could be the start of a run.
There is a long way to go. Too many people on here that seem to have forgotten the really bad times.

We need a reversal of our previous fortunes.....
Staying up by 1 goal......
Losing the last match 0-2 with 10 minutes to play and then score 3....

IF we stay up then there is a real chance that we could establish ourselves in the Premier League. The three teams who go up from the Championship will not have the resources of Leeds and Fulham and we can start to compete with other's wage structure.

I completely agree, but... you don’t get points for not being outclassed. We need to show a nastier more ruthless side soon.

What’s most deflating for me is that (almost) half of our games have been 0-1 defeats.

I think we’ll stay up though.

I can’t be bothered some of our fanbase are absolutely mental! Some of the posts in this thread some of you should hang your heads in shame! It’s also quite obvious some pigs are in here! Fair play to them don’t understand why they would pretend to be blades but ey oh

I still believe Mr Wilder is only doing this to push up the odds on us finishing champions, when he puts his bet on at Christmas......... ;)

finish 17th and I'll be exrtremely happy.

We we're getting to the point now we need wins not just taking heart in a decent performance where we just fell short. I'll take some horrible 1-0 wins more than anything now!

Unfortunately, I am starting to think that the manager and players are the ones who have given up.
Well you thought wrong! You know something criticise the manager for team team selection or tactics but to criticise his commitment to this club is a downright disgrace! You should be ashamed of this comment disgusting!

I haven’t given up but I hope the same goes for some of our players. There’s something missing right now that’s not just down to general form. We used to dominate and press teams hard but now it’s us that are being harassed, pressed and even dominated. We seem to be well, just just too nice to bully a team, another game has gone today and not one crunching tackle, show of anger or a sniff of a yellow card. Just acceptance and frustration. Do the players now think that they’re not worthy or good enough to play like they did anymore and show teams too much respect?

I do wonder if some of the post match criticism from Wilder inferring that his players were playing a league above their ability eventually has worked against him. I didn’t like him saying it at the time and it worries me that some players have started to believe it. We haven’t really looked the part since early July. The odd performance has been ok-ish but it‘s hard now to even comprehend how we beat Wolves Spurs and Chelsea on the bounce right before the rot set in. Let’s also remind ourselves that those 3 games apart we were pretty meh in al, the other games since football restarted and that O’Connell and Henderson were playing for us so we can’t pin the losses against Newcastle, ManU, Leicester, Everton and Southampton on that.

But yes, as long as enough teams continue to struggle as well there is certainly enough time to turn this around, but I suspect that the solution will lie as much with the sports psychologists as on the trading ground for players and manager alike.

Definitely still a chance, but I think we will be relegated. But then the man for the Job would be Wilder again.

However, we need to learn the lesson of the premier leaagie experience - £20m for “up and coming” English talent is not the way. It’s an awful value pool. We need to be looking abroad more.

It’s this area where there’s questions over the manager. I would definitely give him the time to adapt though.

Just have to hope we are not way behind in January but looks like it's all but over

Looks like we are going down this year but we all would have expected this last season. On a positive I think we have built a squad which would bounce straight back, I think Sander will be snatched up by the likes of west ham but the rest of the squad would remain pretty much intact with a few insignificant / aging players moving on. The likes of Brewster, bogle, lowe, burke, Mcburnie will flurish in the championship along with the stalwarts of our recent promotion seasons. We might be a yo yo team for a while until real competitive investment arrives but until that happens I can't see any further than that I'm afraid.
